Well, duh, they where LANCE Packs, never will contain a Star of 'Mechs, any that do would be STAR Packs instead. Seriously doubt if we'll ever get Level II Packs.

Reminds me of the plastech fatapult's torso with bigger missile pods

I wish someone would show the old Ral Partha Catapult some love... I still prefer that sculpt over the IWM one and the Plastic one. This newer one isn't too bad but still needs to go on a diet :P

I like that Cat better then the flattened torso one from the previous box sets. All those minis look beautiful...

I honestly thought we would just be getting the existing plastic Catapult. I can't wait to see what the Commando and Awesome look like!

Still looks nice in person.

Agreed. It's almost as bulky looking as the old CityTech version of the Cat

Wow! I really like that Catapult!  The rest look great too.  I could see my buying more than one box just to get the minis if they look that good in the final product.

This reinforces my trust in the team chosen to "face lift" the minis. That Catapult looks lean and mean. Six-to-whenever-months can not go by fast enough.

Citytech 2nd ed had a pair of victors, orions, centurions, and javelins. Plastech had the fatapult

The way the size of minis has been creeping up in the years since the fatapult, that might not be a bad thing.

The Atlas and Catapult especially were kind of wonky compared to the rest of BT scale at the time. The CityTech 2ed minis were huge in comparison. After some craziness between 3067 and 3075 (eg the Stiletto and Warlord), and some that were scaled to... I dunno what (I'm looking at you, Targe), things have settled a bit.

Modern light sculpts tend to fit a bit more with their forefathers. The heavies and assaults are definitely bulkier (Mangonel, Lament, Tian-Zong, Shrike, Shiro, Hatamoto-Suna, etc). Personally, I like the increased heft. Most of the 3145/50 stuff has been excellent. Some have a giant pile of parts like the Atlas III, but they still can get good detail with more basic builds like the Mortis.

I would just like to mention that the new Uziel is ****** satisfying just to look at.  It's a beefy mini, but it feels perfect.

Catapult really did need a new mold.  I was happy with the throwback 1st gen mold myself.

Lord, this thread was so long.  I thought it was still talk on miniatures. I totally missed the video on the What Up with Catalyst!  :P
