Omni Battle Armor

I have been thinking about fluffing some BA designs as using Omni-technology. Fluffed as made possible by improvements in endosteel processing and connector design.
The key difference will be that all the current modular mounts (with exception to turrets and squad mounts) are integrated into the chassis weight.


I think that the limits of omnitechnology with BA should be about the same as with 'Mechs:
Armor: fixed
Ground MP: fixed
Weapons & equipment: Omni
Manipulators: Omni (slotless)
Additional Movement System (Jump/UMU/VTOL): Omni (slotless)


Pro: Weight savings & repair time
Con: Increased costs


Thoughts?

cost would not count to the Clans, but Weight savings and faster repair would have alot of fans out there...

Isn't this already how Battle Armor works when equipped with the Modular Weapon Mount?

There are some big differences. The weapon mounts cost weight and slots, also they don't allow for the movement system to be switched.

In my AU I made a Toad with 2 JJ and 1 UMU just had to make use of " Cargo " to represent the UMU as a boogie-board.
