Also a good point... but the locals don't actually have the excavation gear to make digging out that mountain worthwhile...  ^-^

They don't..  but can sell that data..  to someone who might..

The trick is that even the nearest locals are hundreds of kilometers away.  It's going to be fingers crossed Al Mazrea is too busy settling the succession to look any deeper than "the jeep was burning when we left".  The real trick will be once they're stable enough to send an expedition to Rabigh...  ^-^

So the base they nearly died getting to,  has it been fully explored or they just found a small outpost?   Given the effort near cutting to bloody edge experience the unit went through.  I'm curious which direction they'll be able go to.

The "base" they were headed to IS that underwhelming outpost.  The current Major Skinner talked his brother into it, though he hasn't (and won't) share that with anyone.  It was entirely wishful thinking that an Outlying Landing Field would be a major find.  Don't get me wrong... it IS pretty amazing for 3025, but it's more burden than bonus at this point.  Truly a dilemma...  ^-^

Hey in his brother defense, the only Los Tech stories anyone hears is OMG we found a old Star League hide, and score Mech, Vehicles and/or equipment and was worth $$$$.   How often do you hear, we found a old Star League Hide, and it was nothing but "paper record" storage where the dehumids failed so u had lots of paper mush files..

That's because I was always getting in trouble by them. But I was way too punk-rock back then, too, and felt the need to point out their rhetorical deficiencies...

And I was raised by one, of course. I did not point out his rhetorical deficiencies.  ;D


I'll tell you what, Big D: Give me some sort of behind-the-scenes briefing and I'll see if we can't get something going, at least in the short term. ;)
