Ahem...

There are two stock models Daryk.

PNT-8Z
PNT-9R

Ones older SL-tech, the other cobbled together DC-tech.

Both have same weapons, just different electronics.

As it was the -8Z had it's Tronel LL replaced by the Lords Light PPC when redesigned. All -8Zs got upgraded.

So, fluff wise, it could be an ancient -8Z more so than a -9R.

TT

There was only a 20-year difference between those two models: 2739 for the 8Z and 2759 for the 9R. If I weren't half asleep when I asked that, I would have recalled that the 8Z was manufactured in limited numbers, so it would have been more than likely a 9R. Due to that, the 9R is considered the base model, even though the 8Z came out before.

All good... what Smoke is asking for are 5 Class B refits (removed SRM-4, remove ammo, add Medium Laser, add Medium Laser, add Flamer).  Of course, that also requires parts...  ^-^

Hey just asking..
not like we have extra parts just lying around here.. nor is there a supply service we can use.

Except the 8Z wasn't later redesignated.

In the OG TRO:3025, it stated the 9R was a compromise Draconis engineers did, lacking the sophisticated technologies of the time.

Meaning, after the 2nd Successor War, since most technologies went by that time.

Fluff suggests there still some examples of a 8Z with it's standard Large Laser still around.  It won't be too horribly hard to convert it to 8Z from 9R.

Yes, but it's been at the bottom of the repair list because the unit doesn't have a spare cockpit.

Every unit has an assigned tech... THEY all survived the drop...  ^-^

That said, if you want to name your techs, feel free.  I'll work NPC stats on my end, but am open to suggestions.

Also, don't forget that the unit is short AsTechs... those infantry casualties?  They were the AsTechs.

Modified Battlemech Recovery Vehicle (4 crew (Commander: Master Sergeant Toby "Master Truck" Johnson, Driver: Sergeant Luke "Bubba" Blu, Call sign: BRAVO ROMEO) - landed safely in hex 1208 (4,2)
Embarked: Vehicle Tech assigned to the BMRV (to be named), plus various tool kits and spare parts, and two pallets of food (1,000 man-days each)

Shouldn't that be 2 Techs...

If said crew is 4...

Nope... techs are separate from vehicle crew.  AsTechs on the other hand... I totally double tap vehicle crew (and infantry) for that. :)

And here's the deck plan for the Mark V Landing Craft.  Yes, I cribbed my "Ace of Drax" from my Double Deuce campaign.  The main changes are replacing the crew galley with a Sick Bay (Paramedic Equipment), and replacing the Exoskeleton Bay with "just" an air lock.  As a result, the expanded steel decking that was formerly above that bay is now a solid bulkhead isolating the air lock even further.

Design-wise, the "troop bay" has enough racks for a platoon (30), a Light Vehicle (4 crew and 1 tech) and one Paramedic for a total of 36 racks.  Those racks are triple stacked.  The crew only has double-stacked racks in their quarters, and the "bunk" in the sick bay is just a single.
