Yes, congrats!
I remember very well the feeling of trepidation when I submitted my first BattleCorps submission - I felt my writing was up to it, but would the the editor accept the story or was it all just wishful thinking on my part? I also remember the warm feeling when it was published. I think it takes some courage to actually submit a manuscript, throwing it to the wolves in hopes it might survive.

Btw, from the "back cover" summary posted on her site your wife's story looks interesting enough that I might just buy it.

Has she got her 6 Author Copy books yet? See if you can get a full cover (eg. front/spine-back) for framing purposes.

My advice would be to do what I did and ask the admins first. They'll let you know what's acceptable.

Nicely done, Mrs Weirdo!
"That's Lieutenant Faceplant to you, Corporal!"

Things that I have learnt through clicking too fast on 'Move Done' on MegaMek: Double-check the CF of the building before jumping onto it, check artillery arrival times before standing in the neighbouring hex, and don't run across your own minefield.

"Hmm, I wonder if I can turn this into a MM map."

Well done!
We hear that there are tumults and riots in Rome, and that voices are raised concerning the army and the quality of our soldiers. Make haste to reassure us that you love and support us as we love and support you, for if we find that we have left our bones to bleach in these sands in vain, then beware the fury of the legions.

Oh, and because I believe in Karma, I try to buy books from independant authors so when, whenever III finally publish something, others will buy mine, I picked up one of your wife's books!  The one about people meeting at a concert or something?  I haven't read it yet, it's on-deck.  ^-^

-MY- wife gave me soooo much hell about it!  "your rooooomance novel has arrriiiiivedddd...." hahahaha  so, let your wife know I tooootally took one for the team here! :-) ha ha ha

Book time! Stina's fourth publication is now out, The Tacomancer and the Cursed Blood Knife! Site can be found in the first post of this thread.

And for those who follow Jennifer Brozek's non-Battletech work, she's also getting a story published in the upcoming anthology 99 Tiny Terrors.
