Just use pages from Star Lord.

It'll be the only good ever to come out of it.

To be fair Dawn of the Moffats was a good character from Star Lord.

As bad potentially, Star Lord is seen. It had some interesting bits.  I liked the really raw Solaris-style fighting they were doing with the disgraced Steel Viper warrior,  the reader got to visit Herotitus.  I've read nearly every book published novel wise for BattleTech.  I don't recall ever reading anything on Herotitus.  The book did give better feel to the place vs source book.

I actually rather like that book.  Yes it has its problems but for its time I liked it because of its use of classic mechs, story based around the FWL (not that common even today), and it being more of a fun pulpy story.

U am actually talking to my group about doing a tournament based around the format used in that story since it sounds like fun.

Scroggins Patron (Patreoggins? Scroggeon?) dropped the Flea.

Perhaps more intriguing was a quote in the description:
“One more design of mine before I kick off a Bishop bonanza”

I’m not sure how many constitute a bonanza but it sounds like the redesign art train is nowhere near done

Bishop Steiner. First a prolific generator of fan art now paid by CGL to draw for them

Although it is a lot of work, and the behind the scenes organising of Kickstarters is more of a pain than usual right now, CGL would be losing out if they did not redesign the entire Battletech range of miniatures. Even though any following Kickstarters would very likely not be as wildly successful as the first one (simply because it had all the cool Mechs in it), they'd still be very successful and would make the company good money and strengthen interest into the game going into the future...there's no way they could lose out...and heaps of the aicraft, vehicles and Infantry are in desperate need of a modernised aesthetic along with modernised production.

If Bishop Steiner has been posting a lot of mechs he's been working on, and now other Inktober 4 illustrations

His Illustration of the Yeoman is sublime, as we say here a "Facha Storm", although the Yeoman RL of Juodasvarnas still has the throne in my heart

But I don't understand what a Bishop bonzana would mean. Does that mean he is showcasing art? from the other person? Is he busy providing editing to Bishop's work? Am I dense or is it purposely ambiguous?

Bishop is part of the Scroggins team, he has done several mechs thus far, although I can't remember them all.  Last one I recall was the Enforcer, I think?  It came out great.

Anyway, Bishop Bonanza would just mean that the next couple mechs with new art will by Bishop, with some editing done by Anthony Scroggins.

Bishop has also said he did several of the 40 ton mechs we have seen two but there are several more to be covered here is hoping we get the balance of 3050 and 3058.

I'm still fascinated by the idea of project phoenix designs being this in-universe redesign while the classic designs continued. But technically the new classic is canon and the Phoenix designs are supposedly inspired by those....

I just want to see one reseen reseen.

If we get the rest of the original TRO 3025 rounded out, which I believe is just a few left, I'd be pumped.  Javelin and Whitworth are feeling sad and neglected by now.

IIRC, Bishop did the Mongoose, Mercury, Sentinel, Enforcer, Lancelot, Crossbow and UrbanMech designs
for the KS.

Since then, his concept sketches for the Assassin, Vulcan, Caesar, Dervish, Hoplite have been shared on
Anthony's Patreon. He also had a hand in the Firefly redesign.

Anyone able to give the abridge version of the video?  34 minutes is a ways longer than my normal Youtube attention span.

I know its a generational thing, but I hate the primacy of YouTube videos for stuff like this.

Take forever to watch, require sound, can't search....  I miss blog posts.

I mean, I grew up at the same time as the internet and I'd like a blog post or something for this.
To me a sneak peak as like a 2-5 minute affair, and either way, sometimes I just want to quickly digest the details.

Not fast enough, and makes getting info actually harder.

I'll wait for someone to summarize what this new thing is about.

Has anyone who got their initiative deck actually tried it yet? I've showed mine around, but it gathered little enthusiasm.

I'll wait for someone to summarize what this new thing is about.

It's a deck of cards that gives you quick reference points for the Battlefield Support Rules from the BattleMech manual - basically a simplified system for adding artillery, air support and minefields.  The only major change is that if you're using the cards for air support, players play their cards face-down at the same time, and there's an option to play a bluff card that suggests you're going to call in air support in an attempt to draw out and use up your opponents interceptor cards, if they have any.
