Personal Combat vs Vehicles
« on: 25 February 2023, 13:51:23 »
So in Mechwarrior Destiny, for damage to Vehicles, it says to mark off on durability, but that the record sheet on the character sheet is purely for the mechscale combat. So where do I find how much damage say a laser rifle would do to a Condor Heavy Hover tank?

Or is there no way to do personal characters vs mechs/vehicles in that way?

I would do it the same way they do elemental armor. Give yourself 6 personal to 1 mech scale

Well I meant more in the sense of damage to the vehicle. Because an infantry rifle ain't doing the damage of an AC10 lol

It's pretty limited what personal weapons can do to mech/vehicle armor unless you have specific weapons designed to be used against them by infantry and others.

I don't have the books on me at the moment but you could likely use the formulas in Time of War or the BAR ratings in the tabletop game to figure out an equivalency. Otherwise, just use what Kerfuffin suggested. For every full six points of damage a personal weapon does, it destroys one point of vehicle armor or structure.
