The shields on the Warbolt's arms interfere with the SRM rack and spotlight; I might swap them back or with something else.

You know, putting the Warhammer arms and SRM on the Longbow and you have a funny looking Battleaxe...

Did you do the modification?  That turned out great, and the paint scheme is glorious.

Yep, was one of the primary donors.  Was going through a blue ringed Octopus camo scheme phase at the time.  Kinda fun to do.

Not bad!  One of these days, I hope to prevail on my friend who modeled an LTAC on an Orion... that thing was a sight to behold!

Painted up some of them.  Testor's rattlecans of olive drab for the green, with testors flat black for the arms and guns.  I don't have a sealer yet or an acrylic black to make a wash from, not sure when I'll get those.  WIP I suppose, but I admit I'm proud of how the artillery piece went together in the shoulder bay as well as it did.

Just got in some new Macross minis (not 3D printed or reproductions!) and armswapped the Super Defender with a Rifleman.  Stats are in my Archers thread here and it turned out pretty well I thought.  Could use some more ammo, but I'm scraping the barrel just for what it has.

Paintjob, I haven't decided yet.  I've got three of them, Maybe I'll expand Artilleriegruppe Kataja with an anti-aircraft lance...that Archer with a Longbow's arms might make a command mech for that lance.

EDIT: added guns-down pic.

Looking good, Kamas.

Those are some serious arms you have there, sir.
Thought I might get a rocket ride when I was a child.          We are the wild youth,                                And through villages of ether
But it was a lie, that I told myself                                          Chasing visions of our futures.                   Oh, my crucifixion comes
When I needed something good.                                         One day we'll reveal the truth,                    Will you sing my hallelujah?
At 17, I had a better dream; now I'm 33, and it isn't me.      That one will die before he gets there.       Will you tell me when it's done?
But I'd think of something better if I could

I'd want arms like that to be LTACs, but SnACs are probably the most you can twin mount...  ^-^

I finished four of the Artillery Archers, after modifying them further with a second Thumper gun.  I have another pack of artillery pieces on order to finish the remaining two, but that'll have to wait.  Meanwhile these are done - Tamiya rattlecan olive drab lacquer overall with Testors flat black enamel for the arms and guns, and a metallic blue flake for the cockpit.  Nuln oil wash overall finished the look; these are the first miniatures I've ever finished painting and I'm slightly proud of how they turned out even with such a simple color scheme.

Regular Archers, Warhammers, and a Marauder II.  Same paint scheme as before, of course.

This one's not a chop job, but those will be coming soon enough.  Why gold?  Because everyone needs a PimpMech in their life; I just wish I had the modeling skills to give it a purple tophat to go with it all.

I just thought of the perfect project, inspired by a boxset I saw in an anime shop.  Cutting up and magnetizing a Warhammer, Rifleman and maybe a Longbow so that you can mix and match.

If I had any magnets I might have considered that, as it is I just cut and glue arms.  So far I've got Archers and Riflemen with Warhammer arms, Archers and Warhammers with Rifleman arms, and Riflemen and Warhammers with Archer arms.  That pretty much covers the spread.

I put my Longbow back together rather than keep the arms on an ARC, so that's no longer part of the chop shop.  Been slowly working on painting these guys up, too - I'm going to repaint the golden Banshee in an even shinier color to please the mighty Char, and gave it lancemates of a Super Rifleman, a Thunderbolt with ARC-5R arms, and a Warhammer with the Tbolt's arms.

Finished an unmodified Crusader and an modded Archerman in desert camo.  I'm still learning how to apply Nuln Oil washes, but it's getting better I think.  I've got almost a full company of chopshop 'Mechs in desert camo, not counting the Crud that leads the company; I wanted to do these two first and see how the wash looked before doing the whole batch.

I placed an order recently so, should be getting the Warhammer, Rifleman and Longbow to do the magnetic conversion to.  Will need to consider a shared camo scheme for the 3, however a Tan and white feels appealing for it.

Finished the desert camo, I'm pleased with how the wash turned out.  Better than I'd expected, given previous efforts.  The Crusader's the only unmodified one of the bunch; everything else has swapped arms with other 'Mechs...for what reason in-universe, I dunno.  I don't have a history or idea for these guys beyond 'desert camo' so I'm willing to entertain ideas.  Maybe they're the Wyatt Militia, which is known for its wastelands and Archer factory.  Makes sense, over half the 'Mechs in the company are Archers.

The rest of Gold Lance, waiting on a repaint of the Banshee for the brighter Tamiya Gold Leaf paint.  This time it's a Super Rifleman (with the arms off a Macross Super Defender miniature), a Thunderbolt with ARC-5R arms, and a Warhammer with the Thunderbolt's arms.  The Tbolt and Whammy took an acetone bath to get rid of their previous paint job, which was an experiment in thinning paints that didn't work out.

Ok, the minis arrived, but my magnet setting skills were sub par this time around.    The Longbow has squatter legs than the Rifleman or Warhammer, so makes an interesting base if you swap bodies around.
