Relevant Rules: Drone (Remote) Systems, Tactical Operations: Advanced Units and Equipment Pg. 117
The rules state that a drone control system must be "present" for drones to function, but then go on to state the maximum range of a ground based control system is 80 kilometers/160 mapsheets or even more for space based units like satellites. Which indicates, to me, that "present" here doesn't necessarily mean "in the immediate play space". Is that a correct interpretation?
If so, how does the the "Otherwise, the bubble only disrupts the operations of the drones to which it blocks the carrier’s LOS" come into play with controller units that are off-board/in orbit? How is line of sight determined between a drone and a distant controller or a controller where the signal is coming from above the battlefield (in this case might also be a blimp, VTOL, small craft, etc. actually on in the playing area).
