ENE and AMS Specials

I'm checking with people who might be more knowledgable than me before submitting errata.  Does AMS count as an explosive component when deciding whether the ENE special is assigned to a unit?  I came across it on the Schrek PPC Carrier (Armor) but there are others.  Obviously, a Laser AMS would be different, and may explain most of the items I found in a search.

The Flasman with an AMS does not get the ENE tag in the MUL. So, it should count as Ammo.
