Mercenaries played a little loose with mech introduction dates in that it allowed you to encounter mechs before they were supposed to be available.  I wouldn't be surprised if that was done again here.

I hope they introduce mechs we've not seen in MWO and MW5 Merc

Were there any mechs that showed up in MW5 and not MWO?  I guess that unique thing from the Solaris Showdown?

No, Loader King = Rougneck. Its amusing that PGI respected the lore they themselves built rather than just retconing the intro-date for Roughneck.

Also notable is the teaser videos show Corsairs on Santander V complete with Jayden's Star mocking the reasons for their existence.

As I recall, it was mostly specific variants that actually were earlier than the "prime" variant, usually prototypes. The Mauler can be seen early, but only because it's PGI's proxy variant for the Daboku, for example – admittedly, we probably shouldn't be seeing a lot of those either considering it never actually went into production, but it did technically exist around the time they start showing up – and there's a specific Wolfhound that was earlier than the "base" WLF-2.

Sometimes an anachronistic hero ’Mech shows up in shops at random, regardless of if it was actually canon to begin with, but other than that...

The Hatamoto Chi shows up in the game during Rise of Rasalhague, years before its introductory date in 3039.  It's also possible to find the Hatchetman and the Cataphract either for sale or in missions no later than 3021.  Hatchets (and other melee weapons) can also be found for sale before the Hatchetman's introduction.

Probably going to be at least the omnimechs in MWO manufactured before 3050.  The Shadow Cat, Arctic Cheetah, and Huntsman count.  That would mean possibly no Night Gyr.  I doubt the Turkina is going to happen unless PGI surprises us.  I'm betting we'll get the Bane since it's going to make its debut in MWO soon.

I could see a refusal war expansion for wolf or jade falcon that introduces the 3058 jade falcon mechs

Refusal War DLC for the win, why not somehow refresh GBL too. Also perhaps a WoR DLC too, as MW5:Mercs had 4 DLC's

The assumption is DLC for each invading clan, somehow I doubt it'll be war of reaving. (if only because they'd need a LOT of exposition for it)

I'd like to see a 1st Somerset Strikers DLC, where you can play either as the Strikers or the Falcon's Claws.

Hit me with a Nova Cat expansion. It's the same invasion corridor so you could even cross paths with characters from the main game. Then revisit Luthien from another perspective. And show me that Tukayyid hoverdrop debacle from in the cockpit.

If they do Jade Falcon, Wolf, and Ghost Bear DLCs, they'll probably do them from different perspectives from MW2.  Just my 10 cbills

I've tried not to care. I'm generally not that great at Mechwarrior games and I've gotten away from gaming in general and tried to focus more on other aspects of life. But I'm a big Clan fan and I might have to get this one. That launch trailer was great, pretty sure that stuff was a reference to the Outbound Light, and we get the big reveal of it to the Grand Council with all the shock and horror and fear of an Inner Sphere attack. I love that they embraced the Clan version of events that the Crusaders used to justify the invasion.

Really does feel like Operation Revival: The Movie, and that's just awesome.

Yeah, that launch trailer hooked me just as I was cooling off. (Which is its job, of course.) But those cutscenes look good. Someone at Piranha knows their lore, and that tagline: "We were made for this"? Just perfect.

That trailer is just awesome!  Canon characters I spotted...

- Khan Leo Showers
- Star Colonel Emilie Wimmer
- saKhan Sarah Weaver
- Galaxy Commander Cordera Perez
- Possibly Mackenzie Wolf
- Possibly Natasha Kerensky

Saw some Elementals on the march

A ton of warships!

I feel like this is the closest we're going to get to a BattleTech movie

EDIT:  Added previous Clan black navy picture with labels now.  I fixed a couple IDs - turns out the small jumpships are Scouts and there's what looks like either a Star Lord or Liberty jumpship toward the top right of the picture.

PGI took some liberities with the ships,  moving with dropships attached and standard jumpships flying near planets.

I'm really looking forward to the game but one thing I need to know. Its replayability. I assume that once you've done the campaign there's gonna be random missions/drops and stuff you can do? I don't care about PVP so as long as tehre's PVP stuff to do that'll be awesome.

Doesn't come anywhere close to the JumpShips in MechAssault: Phantom War, where the delicate jump sail glowed a brilliant blue before a jump, then spun like an outboard motor to propel the vessel through hyperspace.

One of the screen shots I saw showed a scene that had a button prompt to "select mission" so it's at the very least going to have choices of what to do during the game.  And won't simply be a linear sequence.  Don't know about random missions, though, since I'm pretty sure they said that this game wasn't going to have procedurally generated missions like Mercenaries.

Just downloaded it from Playstation Store.  Watching the intro cinematic. I noticed that the description of the bonus skins mentions that they're for 16 omnimechs.

Sarna.net has list of Mechs in the game (already, wow.)

It had that up last night (? Early morning IDK I saw it about 8am EST) and I assumed it was a guess based on what you could see in trailers but I now see it’s probably a ‘full’ list. I can confirm the Clan mechs are accurate but I cannot confirm the Omni Pods or IS mechs.

I have issues with the game but since it’s late-ish (and I need food) I’ll save my post for tomorrow morning

Literally this - I'm the person who added the Inner Sphere 'Mechs by literally pause watching the various teaser trailers. Just need to fill in gaps more play time people get in it - still a couple of hours away for me sadly.
