Macross II isn't even real Macross.

ohhh no dont start this again...
most fans see it as a movie within macross universe
still it had some nice designs especially the battroids..valks and macross cannons? meh not so much some music was good but  rest it seemed rushed...or too generic...i mean even 1978/79 gundam series had better music

Macross II was a sequel to a a dramatized retelling of the big war.  Kinda like if someone made a sequel to Inglourius Basterds and set it during Korea with the same back history.
