Just went and saw Deadpool & Wolverine.

It was okay.  I enjoyed it, for the most part, but I also don't think I'll be thinking about it a week from now.

My biggest gripe if i had one, was the darn language.  YEA, deadpool is "merc with a mouth", but seeing most everyone cuss in some way, not just pool, can put some folks off..

They wanted an R-rated film, they got an R-rated film.  My main issue was that like Spider-Man: No Way Home, they leaned too heavily on the cameos and references to other non-MCU Marvel films to make up for the fairly generic plot.

Mars Express (2023) French animated sci-fi movie thats a mix of Bladerunner, Terminator, and I, Robot (the movie, not the book). Its about a detective duo (one of them is a bot with human memories) who searches for a missing girl on Mars. Brilliant worldbuilding and lots of cool ideas about bots and AI, but the ending is abrupt and doesn't really go anywhere. Still a worthy watch though. Rating 7.5/10

There is no anime for it, as far as I know, but the live action films from the 70s, yes. I've been watching them on MAX.

Watching Mystery Science Theater 3000.  It's nice that Pluto TV has the recent seasons from after its Netflix seasons so I don't have to pay for a subscription to see them.

Watching the Simpsons, Bob's Yer Uncle.

I misread the locked-thread as Disney-Yutani and thought, "Well, this is an interesting-twist to the Aliens-Universe".

ok just finished watching watchmen part 1
way better than live action and dont know how they did it but they captured the flavor and feel of the graphic novel to a t. wonder if they ever will do v for vendetta in same vein

I didn't like the live action Watchmen film.

But then again, I didn't like the graphic novel, either.  I've never really understood what people really see in Alan Moore's stuff.

Blasphemy! Alan Moore is god. But then again, I thought Watchmen was overrated, and his other stuff is way better.

Just finished Dial of Destiny: classic Indy-Jones movie, produced by Lucas and Spielberg.  You can't go wrong with NAZIs and the baddies: The trigger-happy NAZI-Agent died a disappointing-death.  Indy should have stayed.

Despite paying for Netflix, Hulu, and Disney Plus, I’ve been spending most of my evenings watching PlutoTV and Tubi. In the past few weeks, I’ve rewatching The IT Crowd and knocked out Vicious, The Vicar of Dibley, and Black Books.

I've found PlutoTV to be great when I just want some background noise and don't care about paying too close attention to what's on.

It’s on my list!

It’s a great option. If I want background noise, I can throw on something like Iron Chef, Classic Who, or Star Trek. If I need a laugh, I’ve the Addams Family and MST3K channels. If I want some culture, I hop on over to the Super Sentai channel.

warning father ted is not a show to keep blaring in the background on first watch...it has too many hidden jokes in background and some comedy that has to be seen
