So how many of you who bought the Urbie LAM pack are going to paint them in the colors of your favorite Macross Valkyrie?
I have spoken.

I'm holding off on ordering the Urbie pack. I ordered the Star League pack instead. The two 40th anniversary boxes are my next priority, then I'll worry about the flying urbz.

I will be buying all the UrbanMechs. I've got heaps of Marlboro Miles and S&H Green Stamps that I've been saving for a special occasion.
Dude, I remember back in the 70's, my grandma bought a TV with Green Stamps.

I'd love to order these, but to get the LAM and SLDF force packs, it's $47 each, plus $220 shipping from the GCL store to get them to Australia.

It is just not affordable to do that, especially considering the order for the Kickstarter that I have coming for Mercs is 15 times the volume and $171 total for shipping.

It would be great of CGL could look at better shipping options for us over here, otherwise it's just far too expensive to purchase them.

Edited for spelling.

I can recommend Fortress Minis. They stock a lot of stuff from US store exclusives to the premiums and ship to Australia with not insane shipping. Bought from them many times and never had any issues. They're expecting the Urbies and Star League packs in about 1-2 weeks from their last email.

CGL have said they're looking at an Australian warehouse to alleviate shipping prices when honestly they just need to sort out the shipping from their existing warehouse. I'd rather pay a reasonable price from the US than deal with a local supplier given how infrequently stores here get restocks as is.

I’m not doing them in any Macross: but they are apart of my UrbanMech Trinary (assigned to my IS Regiment of Mercs) along with another twelve Urbie’s. They are the core of my final battalion (alongside the mechs from the Proliferation pack) and mainly used a base defense force. NOW WITH AIR SUPPORT!

The 40th anniversary boxes are not just a one print run correct?  I would like to pick them up but with the Kickstarter coming soon would prefer to hold off till later in the year.  (Sorry if this has been asked before I went a few pages back and didn't see an answer to this).

They have never been talked about as a one run change, they will probably be reprinted if there is need for more production runs of either boxes before the end of the year, otherwise the next run will likely be identical except without the 40th anniversary logo on the cover.

It would be more surprising if we didn't, so far every single plastic mini pack has had a record sheet pdf, though it did take quite a while for some to come after the pack's release.

The real question is what the "modern" record sheet for the P-Hawk will be, since there's nothing that matches it.  I'm guessing either the PHX-9 or the C 2.

Isn't it explicitly supposed to be the -1c?

Yes, that would be the historic configuration. But the supporting record sheets typically include a "modern" (3150s) sheet and he's curious as to what it might be. I assume we'll find out when the Force Pack actually gets in our hands and we can check the backside of the Alpha Strike card.

The Alpha Strike cards in the box are:

ON1-K Orion / ON1-Kb Orion
TDK-7S Thunderhawk / TDK-7S Thunderhawk
PHX-1B "Special" Phoenix Hawk / PHX-1C "Special" Phoenix Hawk
AS7-D-H Atlas II / AS7-D-H Atlas II

It would be entirely feasible not to create a modern 1c version, it could just be that one model.  Is there a modern PHX variant that kind of matches the SL version?

There aren't any variants with ilClan-era tech, but the MUL has the 1b and 1c both available in the ilClan era; the 1b has apparently been produced by the FWL and its sub-states since the Jihad (for which I presume we can thank the Blakists), and the 1c is in the same boat but is also on the CapCon and Merc lists.

that's perfect then, they could slap two variants in the .pdf w/o having to "modernize" it.

(now we need an Urbie IIC and the 2 AC-2 clan variant )

Imagine spending four years at a war college only to be assigned an Urbie.

Backwater assignment, possibly safe. I mean, suppose one is connected, but doesn't actually have real skills... gotta give some assignment to such person. Depending, they might be even quite fine with it.

Anyone have one of the ballcaps?  Are they exact fit or are they a stretch fit?
Just as a warning, you should order a size larger than normal despite the stretch fit.  A buddy and myself ordered hats in XL and they fit comfortably snug, despite the two of us having only medium-largeish heads.

I thought that someone who was connected but generally not competent was typically given a ceremonial position.  Honor guard of a core planet that hasn't been invaded in the last two centuries sort of post.

Plastic Thunder Hawks (for Aeronautica Imperialis and now the re-release of Epic) have been around for a few years now.

Awesome. I want to see what the ON1-Kb Orion can do on a "big" record sheet. I imagine it's just an Orion with all its weapons upgraded with equivalents and maybe an ES chassis, especially since it doesn't seem fragile enough to be rocking an XL.
