$5,000 pledge level, wasn't it?

Yeah.  Sometimes being in a career that can provide funds is useful.  I am totally not jealous and not trying to stock his home to help secure them before his wife finds out.

Honestly, I'm at the point that if they need to prioritize shipping to the CS backers, I'm cool with waiting a couple more weeks. I know that I will eventually have one or two big boxes show up at my house. The CS backers need their stock to help their businesses and I will gladly wait if it means helping however many FLGSs to spread the BT love around. Heck, I was looking over my order the other day and realized that I only had one cavalry star. I'm going to have to order another one as soon as they're available.

I will say that I'm glad that CGL has announced that they're planning to move away from kickstarters as a business plan moving forward. Yeah, sure they said they may do some smaller campaigns, but not on the scale of Clans or Mercs.

Honestly, the only Battletech related things I can even think of that might "need" it will be for either an Aerotech or Battlespace revamp.  And that would be mostly to make sure that the interest in those areas of the game are worth investing enough to produce a lot of models for.  While there are a lot of model options to be made in these realms, not everyone plays it, nor wants to even try.

Definitely encouraging. I feel for our Australian sibkin but hopefully the rest of the world will have their boxes by the end of the year.

As I was leaving the house for Tampa International Airport I received my email at 9:06am that my order has shipped. I left the front gate open for the delivery, and I will just have to enjoy my new stuff when I return from Michigan. I get to Michigan and see a notification that packages have been delivered. I am happy and continue my day in cold Westland Michigan. After supper I log back into my computer and check the delivery, and to see if there is a picture of the packages on my front porch. Much to my surprise the package is laying next to the open front gate in the yard next to a power pole. WOW Hopefully FedEx will send the driver back out to properly put the packages on the front porch before it rains on Friday, or the deer decide to eat the boxes. I will never get how just dropping packages somewhere is even legal in the US...
Anyway: ask a neighbor to grab the package for you?

The only neighbor that I know is still home for the holiday is elderly and old school with a wall phone and actual answering machine, and as usual it is full. I do not think he knows how to delete old messages. hahahaha I left a message with my Florida Highway Patrol neighbor that lives two properties from me to please go to my place and collect any packages he finds when he returns on Sunday.

I managed to get a hold of FedEx today and it turns out their policy concerning gated/fenced properties is to leave the package at the gate/fence even if the gate is open UNLESS you specifically request the package to be left on the porch. I was able to REQUEST that the 5th package scheduled for delivery be left on the porch, and that the driver gather up the other 4 packages and put them on the porch. The only problem is that the picture of the 4th package delivered today does NOT show the first three packages from Wednesday. It is very frustrating that FedEx has no care for customers product being delivered ..... they only care for the money.

Moral of the story ...... NEVER USE FEDEX!

My kickstarter arrived today! Yay!
Only the smaller of two boxes arrived. Boo! Hiss!

Seriously though, I have a question for those of you who had their rewards shipped in two boxes that didnt travel together. Did you get separate shipping notifications for each package or did the second package just show up randomly?
I was still pretty stoked to get about 1/3 of my rewards. I received the big Timberwolf, LMW 3, direct fire star, assault security, pursuit, recon, and heavy recon lances, and 3 of the vehicle boxes. I backed at regiment level so I’m still missing quite a bit. I’m not complaining, mind. I’ve waited this long so I can definitely wait a week or two longer if needs be.

two boxes. one normal, one extra small ... as though it was packed then an 'oops' need a few more items, which would have fit easily in the primary box.

iirc I had one notice, but that notice had two separate lines for box one, another for box two.

I heard news that shipments are finally arriving at periphery states, and might be in time for Christmas gifts...

(Several backers in Malaysia were receiving shipment emails, but not mine...)

I received a shipment update from FedEx. The big box should arrive Monday. I’ll actually be off that day so I’m happy to. This whole process has been a heck of a roller coaster! Do I wish I’d been in wave 1? Heck yeah! But I’ll gladly take my package Monday.

UK backer here - I got an e-mail from DHL on Monday saying they would deliver on Thursday, and then they showed up about 20 minutes ago. Now I just need to print out my original pledge and make sure everything is here...

I'm a happy boy today, I got the Hinterlands book in the mail and FedEx dropped off the big box from QML. I must say that FedEx isn't up to their old standards. Only one forcepack had any damage at all and it was the battle armor box. Back in the old days the box would have had at least a half of a roll of shipping tape holding it together.
I did notice quite a bit of mold release agent on the models, and not just the vehicles. Time to give them all a bath of degreaser before priming. Between these and the scheduled released for next year, 2025 will be a busy painting time!

Another week and no mention of the KS on GamesQuest's blog.

Despite dispatch emails in the UK being confirmed as coming from them, they steadfastly refuse to discuss the project at all, refer us to QML who are about as communicative as a rock, or the KS where responses are similarly lacking and unhelpful.

I'm stunned that the delivery phase of this KS has been worse than one that happened during the pandemic.

I had my address cnfirmaion email on the 8th of November, apparently (it's been a VERY chaotic month), which means unless I'm going funny, by Friday (or at best, Monday, since the following Monday was the day you were supposed to change your address by if you needed to), we will have hit the 5-week mark.

i am thus not expecting anything before the New Year now, even if they dispatch it.

I'm stunned that the delivery phase of this KS has been worse than one that happened during the pandemic.

Show how much the world has deteriorated since in the last four years. I confidently predict that it won't be long before we long for the days of the pandemic, when things weren't as bad...

Ha, I used to think BattleTech was silly in having technology be lost, because that would never happen. The folly of youth.

Saw that.  I can at least now "fix" my missing VToL flight stands (they managed to get caught up in the pile of plastic that went for recycling, did not notice till 2 days later).  (fix=buy 2nd set)

I will be super-duper polite and not dump anything on the forums, but to put the finest point I can on it: I wasn't joking, I genuinely believe that (and I lost friends and family in the pandemic) - turning the full stop into ellipses was me conceeding to attempt not to be too bleak, but here we are - as I said earlier, the shipping really, really, REALLY isn't the worst thing happening; and someone somewhere is always having a worse time than any of us here.

I don't think it is safe or fair to say any more than that, lest it become a rant.

Project Update #110 is US Waves 1/2 should be done and Wave 3 about to start, no news for everywhere and 200 backer orders that were missed (58 being US) to be sorted.

Regarding the freshest update (#110) about the long customs holdup @EU: does this potentially mean that my box wouldn't end up being held by the Finnish customs for a declaration (and paying a 25,5% VAT) when anything gets moved this far north? ::think

Just curious as anything ordered from the CGL store in the last years has gotten stuck in the customs. Being the time of the winter solstice I for once actually wouldn't mind having the box(es) wait for a week or two in the customs facility, just to make sure we're back home by the time my plastics get released to the carrier
