Kickstarter update #97.

Yeah ! They are more then 50% fulfilled!
Which like so many others doesn't include me.
At least if it gets here for fall/winter it'll give me something to
do when the snow hits.
I'm trying to be positive here. I've recently had multiple sellers on an
auction site that we aren't supposed to mention cancel sales on
items I've won. We're talking 5 sales from different sellers in 10 days.
1 of which I've been trying to get my hands on NIB for nearly 20 years and it's going to be
nearly impossible to complete the Sarna article properly without it!

Does anybody else feel like they just played a VERY long game
and couldn't roll a single 7+ when their opponents made every single 10+ ?

Speaking as someone who also hasn't heard a peep from QML, we were all always going to have to wait for shipping and some of us were always going to have to wait longer.

Does it suck? Sure.

Would I like to get more communication about the process so I know where my order might be in the grand scheme of things? Of course.

Do I limit how many Kickstarters I back specifically because I think QML is a grossly inept company? Yes.

Is it the end of the world? No.

Maybe I'm just used to being picked last because I suck at sports and my last name happens to be at the end of the alphabet. I don't know what people expected from this process, though. Not everyone gets to be in the front half of the line.

It’s been two weeks since my address verification, but still no shipping notice.

I’m not worried, but I am constantly checking my inbox.

In the shipping email, they've listed yet another salvage box!  Presumably, that has something to do with the vehicle SNAFU.  So, at this point, the only indication of what I'm actually getting is what they sent in the email yesterday!

Yeah, everyone who got standard Mercs salvage boxes is getting another one to ameliorate the chance of getting a vehicle in one.  And if you manage to get two or more vehicles in Mercs salvage boxes drop CGL a line via Kickstarter, they're planning some level of extra compensation in that case

The one Maxim I picked up via mech Salvage box actually serendipitously matches the 2 vehicles my neice and nephew picked from the Kickstarter event a year ago, so I can't complain.  They each chose a Galleon and a Maxim for painting, and they decided to keep it instead of donating to the uncle.  🤣

And no,  they aren't interested in playing either 😥

I can live without a physical copy of the cookbook. Let's be honest, none of us backed the campaign because we wanted the cookbooks so badly. It was a stretch goal, so we're not out any money. I imagine that if anyone did purchase a cookbook, CGL will probably give them store credit.

Well you are still getting the cookbook if you bought it.  It just wasn't in the warehouse when it started.  And since you paid extra money if you are getting the physical copy of the cookbook in most cases tough to say it wasn't a factor in those people backing if they give them extra money.

Understand what CGL is doing they are actually shipping a product where the Author took most the recipies from other sources and didn't even bother to give credit.

...since you paid extra money if you are getting the physical copy of the cookbook...

Nobody paid extra money for the cookbook (well, aside from anyone who added on extra copies). Maybe something else could've taken its place, but more than likely not.

And, to be 1000% clear, we're still getting a cookbook.

Just got my shipping notice, was part of the wave to lock by July 30, so the recent one. Looks like it's going to be here right as I'm out of town, of course...

All backers got the PDF free.  But not the case with the physical book.  So people very much did pay for it.  ( I am not 100 sure what level they started giving the hard copy away free at). So people very much paid for it.

And yeah we are still getting the book.

I actually only ordered one Mercs salvage box. The rest were ASFs, Blood Asps, and legendary's. I feel a little guilty that they'll add an additional one for me. But if they do, I will definitely open it!

I got the FedEx tracking app for the last KS and I check it from time to time (almost every day). I now have 3 packages from QML in the label created stage. No email from QML tho. Just the app update.

I was in the most recent confirm address round two(?) weeks ago.

FedEx has, for years, refused to let me sign up for that service because they list my house as a commercial address.

It has been a single family address for over 40 years.

I had two separate boxes for my kickstarter. Different tracking numbers but both landed same day.

I felt the same, especially when a local guy with the same pledge got his delivered before I got my confirmation email.

I wish I could say "trust the process", but I've worked in IT way to long to say it with a serious face.

So I was looking through the Heavy Recon Lance pack's pilot cards and it appears that one of the Merlin's noteable pilots is the worst canon mechwarrior in print?

Start of the week before I'm away, not a peep yet here in the UK, so we are still potentially on target for it to come during that time... (Or we're closing on September.)

I said mechwarrior, not someone who gets into a mech for photo ops on holidays.
