Chicagoland August Game

Hello all!

I will be running the monthly game at Games Plus on August 17th. Start time will be sometime after the store opens at 10. It will be a casual event so your attendance at the beginning, or end, is not required. You can drop in anytime and leave anytime. More details will be forthcoming after GenCon.

Hello all. Here are the rules for the 17th. I will need answers by the end of Thursday the 15th so that I have time to get everything prepared. I will have a few backup forces for people who do not post here but still wish to play.

This game will be a free for all. It is not a Grinder. The forces you start with will be all that you get. Depending on what people reply with, there may also be special objectives for each team. What forces will you be using? That you won't know until the game, but the choices are going to be yours and will be decided when you post here.

So I will need some random die rolls from everybody.

Based on these rolls I'll generate you a force of 'Mechs. On the 17th I'll have all miniatures, record sheets, dice, maps, and pencils provided. You will not need to bring anything to play. If you have any questions, please post them here and I'll answer as quickly as I can.

I have a gut feeling on what some of these dice are supposed to represent, but we'll see on Saturday!
(Actually, that's a fun suggestion: if there are any funny facts about our results so far, it'd butter us up nice and good if it were mentioned that one of us was some bizarro faction for example, without telling us who it is.)

Also, whoo, 10 tentative players coming to the table on Saturday, that's going to be quite the full table if we're all full formations of lance/star/Marian century/Level II/et cetera!

I will say that one person who has rolled so far will be VERY happy with their faction

As stated in the first post, I’ll be starting the game as soon after 10 as I can so please try to be prompt. My target is to be rolling dice by 10:30. If you can’t make it right away, you will still be able to join but there will be a cost.

There will be a lunch break, but as time will be precious, anything you can do to shorten it will be helpful.
