The boogeyman of House Selaj shows up in Hunting Season, which I am re-reading right now, and a POV character doubts the assassin is from Selaj. She mentally questions IF they still existed, why did they not strike out before? Why not come out during the chaos of the Jihad, when the League was fracturing to get revenge on the Mariks & Cameron-Jones?
It made me wonder . . .
Why did the Blakists never use that false-flag operation? Misdirection is their thing, and the chaos it would sow in the already fractured League by having someone show up as the 'House of Selaj' heir, backed by some loyal troops and Blakist-bought mercenaries would set the Marik heirs and Cameron-Jones scrambling.
