Protomech Transport special ability

Hey all,
After checking the sixth printing Commanders Edition book, the errata, the Master Unit List and these forums, I'm unclear about the following, relating to Protomechs:
  • There is a special rule "PT#" but I can't find any unit with that ability in the MUL.
  • I am not sure how to transport them based on my current understanding from the rulebook and errata.

I feel I've missed something obvious. Any help would be appreciated :)

The only units that have it are the Arcadia and Outpost DropShips, these are the only units that we have stats for that were designed with transporting ProtoMechs in mind, prior to that they were probably just modifying other DropShips, but we don't have any stats for those. The current MUL can't display the large aerospace cards, so you can either get them from the free download (https://store.catalystgamelabs.com/products/battletech-alpha-strike-cards-dropships-small-craft) or from MegaMek.

If you were hoping to use something for ground operations, there's nothing, though there is a selection of ProtoMechs that have the ProtoMech Magnetic Clamp System (MCS special in Alpha Strike) that allows them to hitch a ride similar to XMEC battle armor. Rules for it are on page 87 of AS:CE, but the selection of ProtoMechs with the equipment is pretty small.

That makes sense but I was hoping for a large hover (flatbed) or flyer (underslung, like those cargo choppers) transport that could scream in and drop off a proto' or two  :cool:

I think we need a WIGE for the transport on the ground.

Only Proto with Mag Clamps that comes to mind is the Minotaur.  Used a Scylla to move one before, rude surprise for the oppo.
