Painting for a Friend: Generic 'Green'
« on: 17 November 2024, 10:05:15 »
So, one of my buddies got his Mercs KS stuff, and he had separated things out into Clan and IS formations, and had these five left over.  Since he barely has time to work on these, he wanted me to paint them up, along with the vehicles, in some sort of generic support scheme.  He was gonna be okay with just a base-coat, but I couldn't just do a base coat, or that and a wash, and I let him know that.

He also wants me to paint the teams he's assembled in a couple official schemes he found that came with the AS cards.  That is pending.

I've already finished the vehicles.  Didn't think to get pictures of them before handing them off. They'd look similar to this, but with dark gray hover skirts or tracks and some Roman Numerals to set them apart.

While the minis, themselves are nice to paint, that's only to a degree.  The Charger here, which is finally finished, has some odd places where the the surfaces kinda curve together, and without good lighting, it's hard to make out where those bends are, and whether to decide to just let them be one or let some shading show the break.  The under arms are the worst spot.  And, the molding has left some lines that probably could have been cleaned to smooth things out a bit.  But, I'm okay with this.  Figured I'd share this one and the other four when I get them done.

Enjoy.

I have to admit, I was wanting to get a pic of the Dodge Charger logo to print off and put on an armor plate somewhere.  I may yet.
