What parts to add to Scrapyard
« on: 06 June 2021, 20:22:24 »
I know several people have asked about adding some parts to the scrapyard, but I wanted to open a thread for a few weeks to get some additional ideas for what parts to be added. In your reply, please have the SKU, mini name, and what part.

How about the wing piece for the Gyrfalcon 4 (BT-450) for those people who want single-piece wings for the other Falcon mechs (Shrike, Gyrfalcon 1, Jade Hawk, etc).

I know this may be stretching a wish list, but can we please get the Tail fin and ESPECIALLY the shallow V winglets for the Corsair CSR-V12 (20-702)?  I could use about 10 sets.

the winglets from the Sparrowhawk SPR-H5 (20-701) would be nice as well.

i have this thing for those shallow V winglets ... they're always the first dang piece to go missing.

Have you checked the scrapyard yet?  The Corsair wing parts are already there.  And they are the same peice for the Sparrowhawk.  Most entries just need pictures at this point for the scrapyard.

Thank You!  I hadn't checked the Scrapyard in a year+ and assumed that my need was still unfulfilled.

I've been living in the scrapyard for the past year and half now, looking up parts for whole kitbashes, just ask and I'm sure any of us fans would help you ID or suggest parts!

I am going to have to do some research and see what I need. I think most stuff is already covered. The one piece gyr falcon wing would definitely be a good addition.

I love the new weapons bit kits, but we don't have any Plasma Rifles.

How about the weapon sprue (Plasma Rifle) from the Eisenfaust?  Help me out if there's others...

Thanks!

The shoulder cannon of the Solitaire i use as a good general purpose Plasma weapon for medium to larger mechs

The Solitaire's main gun a Clan Heavy Large Laser and does not resemble an IS Plasma Rifle, but it is an interesting piece and I'm sure it has its uses.

As far as I'm aware, there hasn't been a consistent look for Plasma Rifles in the game's art.

Most just need pictures really.  The Sparrowhawk parts could be folded in with the Corsair, or offered as a separate one, depending on Speck's decision.

That is a long term goal that I want to work on. I need to set up a dedicated space for doing the image taking, since it will take time to finish. Will have to start with stuff I already have since I am 9 hours away from IWM factory.

Oh, if you're asking for new parts... how about the arms and legs from the new Archer ARC-9M? Would be nice to mix with the existing Archer ARC-8M torso...

Ryoken (Stormcrow) legs would be nice to have, especially with the extra torsos you end up with when building Stormcrow As and Ds.

I'd be a while for those at the very least. Not until we get a few of them done by IWM.

The resculpted omni parts are pretty good to use with the new plastics.

The Gargoyle/Stormcrow would be a good place to start even without those mechs released.  We have the Stormcrow B and TC arms available b/c the resin version, and they can be used on the Gargoyle as well.  Offering arms or alternate weapons for the KS plastic before they even release the metal would not be a bad idea- lots of folks have multiples that they could mod.

If requests are still being taken, I'd like to submit the arm sprue(I think it's only one sprue for both arms?) for the Flea, the older sculpt.

I have started to add images to parts that were on the web store (such as 20-702 fin sprue) and images of parts on the store now. I am still taking pictures of parts that are on the list and will add the new parts once images are complete on them. Plus I need to get bin letters for some of them from Mike.

Would it be possible to get the missile launchers from the Mad Cat in the Bounty Hunter set added? They are SRM6s from the S.

They are a really great size for the resculpted Mad Cat. The new missile launcher parts are awesome and great for Omni conversions, but they are way too large on the Mad Cat and look silly. (honestly if we could get a new larger sculpt of the classic Mad Cat/Vulture I would throw lots of money toward funding it, but thats for another thread somewhere)

Speck, can you add the SRM / Laser and the weapons sprue for the new Wolverine? BT-472.

Also the Heavy PPC doesn't mount properly to the arm, the back portion is larger than than the other 2 weapons on the sprue, so it gaps instead of snugly fitting.

Someone in one of the FB BT Groups was asking about the bits/turrets for the various Scapha Hover Tanks.

Also, Sarna lists I and J models.  Any thought to having those turrets made?   ???  It's a TSEMP cannon for the I, and 3 MPLs for the J, before anyone asks.

I have them on my list. I usually wait a while after a release to add the parts. After Gen Con going to work on getting the list from this thread up for sale.

Sickest I ever got was when my 3 month old played the role of Typhoid Mary over Thanksgiving and at my grandmother's 90th Bday party six years ago . . . I was sick that night after the party- sitting on toilet and vomiting into the tub.  Then the wife got it.  Then two cousins who held the baby at the party.  Then my sister and her two daughters on their flight home.  Once a few people from the party got sick, we figured out who the cause was for our misery.

Meanwhile the baby, who had never been a complainer just had messier diapers and had got me with a projectile spit up (later I figured it was vomiting, not spitting up) without really crying . . . while the adults were just like, 'let me die already.'

Weird, now that I think about it if there was a holiday I got sick it was always Thanksgiving.

Were the old sculpt Stormcrow/Ryoken B arms never put in the scrapyard?

Are those just REALLY big trading cards, held on with equally huge clothespins?  So as the wheel spins, they go "Clack, clack, clack, clack."?  :D

I'm definitly interested in this as well. Davion Ares is now needed for my forces as well.

Yes. There already exists a RAC left arm and HGR right, from Aphrodite and Hera, respectively.

Yup, and those are the two that I have left to build here so if you tell me I can buy the extra bits later I'll use mine to make an Apollo now!

Contact IWM directly with the part descriptions and #s and they might sell just the parts to you.

Is there any way to get the original P-Hawk JJs here or anywhere?

I have one w/ that is missing just 1 jet, lost somehow, and my original pair of LAMs didn't come with any at all in the boxes.  (So 5 single JJs in total)

Best bet is to ask offsite like one of the Facebook buy and trade groups.  Plenty of people still have spare parts and are willing to sell or trade to those in need.

Yes, it’s on my to do list. I want to have the areas weapons up plus see about a new complete ares of that variant, but I have to ask Mike.

Any ideas on why the sprue from the WVR-6R/6D (20-5197) is available but not the spure from the WVR-7M/7M2/7K is not available?

That is due to the one sprue was updated to have both Missile launchers on it and I do not have it. It’s on my next request with Mike.

Why would anyone want Penetrator legs? I can't think of anything I'd use them for, at least.

I admit that the... I can't call them knees... make those legs unique, anyway.
