Jump Jet attacks

Hello

How to do perform a Jump Jet attack? I have a ´Mech with JJ, but when i want to do an DOA, i always get a message that there are no JJ, so no attack is possible.

It’s an option that needs be enabled in Game Options.

Do you mean Death From Above (DFA), or a Jump Jet attack? They are different things.

Things that I have learnt through clicking too fast on 'Move Done' on MegaMek: Double-check the CF of the building before jumping onto it, check artillery arrival times before standing in the neighbouring hex, and don't run across your own minefield.

"Hmm, I wonder if I can turn this into a MM map."

It likely fails because you're clicking on the JJ Attack button, which is not the DFA button, and because while your Mech has JJ, they are not in the legs, so the JJ Attack fails.

Which 'it' are you trying to do? A 'Death From Above (DFA)' attack, or 'Jump Jets as melee weapons' attack? They are very different, and have different requirements. If you can confirm which one you want to do, we can give more detailed advice.

Tried the JJ melee attack with a 'mech that has JJ in the legs, and activated the option 'tactical JJ attack'.

Have you met all the restrictions listed in TacOps? It's got a lot of restrictions.

It´s saying JJ missing or destroyed, but i can jump with them.

TacOps Advanced Rule - pg 89 -

"Only ’Mechs with undamaged jump jets (but not mechanical jump boosters; see p. 104, TO: AUE) in their legs can make a
jump jet attack, and only if they are prone or at 1 level higher than the target. Also, the attacking ’Mech cannot have already
jumped in the same turn."

Set up an attack, save the game, and post it (along with version number).  Someone can have a more specific look.

Created two scenarios where i want to use them. I´m using V 0.48. Savegames are unstable with me.
