QoL question/request
« on: 25 January 2022, 09:52:32 »
So I have a question/request that I think is already being developed, but not sure.

I run a MekHQ campaign with a total of 8 people, and when we run our weekly games, I’m running into an issue that when I hand off each person’s individual unit, if they should get killed or otherwise knocked out, if they disconnect, their units information, such as damage and pilot status is completely deleted because technically that unit isn’t present anymore at the generation of the salvage and unit muls.

Is there a solution to this other than having people leave their clients open until the end of the battle, or in the case of people ejecting, opening a separate client on my side and ejecting them that way, essentially keeping the client open until the end of the battle?

I’m open to suggestions!

New Units and RAT's aren't added until after the 2 month release moratorium is passed.

49.3, but will be upgrading to 49.6 eventually once we get the naming issue with the Ilclan stuff figured out.

I have also experienced this issue in 0.47.16 and 0.48.0. It will sometimes send them back to mekhq in pristine condition, and sometimes claim they're completely dead and the mech lost

I'm pretty sure this is a long standing issue. I remember it from years ago, if a player/force lost all their units and then left the game it wouldn't always track their units until the very end. Especially if several more rounds occur after they've left.

Unless it got fixed and popped back up, or incorrectly closed, I'm pretty sure there should be an error report related to this. It's a problem for resolving in MHQ but it's technically a MM issue with how the information is maintained over the course of the game if I recall.
