What is the 'Phoenix LRM ammo' type... (0.48.0 FTR)
« on: 20 November 2022, 19:32:52 »
....what does it do? What IG setting is required to use it (i.e. able to swap LRM ammo for it). I bought 5 tons out of curiosity (3067) but currently it's not an option to swap ammo with it. It appeared when i was shopping for ammo (and selected hide impossible numbers to clear the list of what i could not buy, at the time) and only LRM-20 and Phoenix LRM-20 was purchasable. Now i cannot seem to use it... what gives? (I don't think its cannon because it does NOT appear on BT Wiki)
Even my Page posting rate is better than my KPD rate IG...

From the Crusader 3025 Fluff

"The Crusader's original Phoenix LRMs and Hawk SRMs have long since been exhausted, replaced by crude unguided missiles produced by the Successor States' munitions factories. These inferior substitutes cannot match the range or accuracy of the old missiles, but they are effective enough to keep the Crusader's opponents at a respectful distance."

The bad news is the they are a legacy thing that does nothing. They should have all removed in 47.7.

New Units and RAT's aren't added until after the 2 month release moratorium is passed.
