Just noticed this is a bad picture- bit o wobble.
But I will have to strip this eventually and start over . . . I wanted to get it painted for a FLGS game that might be one of the rare times I can take it with a improved pilot (3/4 = 4k). I found out two days ago I might have grabbed the unwashed instead of the washed Supernova when some of the paint flaked/rubbed off as I was trying to do detail work. Discovering that I declined to hit it with the varnish for the final coating, nor did I base it even though I scratched up the top of the base with a file. But since this is about the 5th mech I have painted since Covid started, it was fine practice . . . and I let the pilot put some stripes on the arm too- in fact the one you can see, lol.
Next time I want to make the stripes a bit thinner, the lasers neon blue instead of neon green (what I grabbed first w/o thinking about it) and if I am satisfied with the paint I plan to give it a Flying Tiger type mouth on the nose. It looks airplane enough on the front to really work IMO. I will try for a better still photo later.
The elbows are really close to the hips, and for the second SRN I have it might be worth considering cutting the arms a bit to move them out for space.
