SLDF Kanga's
« on: 30 April 2011, 11:41:28 »
You know these Kanga's are not very fearsome.  Every time I've played with them they've been blown up very quickly. No wonder there's not many left in the Inner Sphere.

Good job making em look like they've been through the grinder a few times.

I like the Kanga. Sure its silly. But I do like it.

Yeah, to say that they're thin skinned is an understatement.  Nice looking minis, but I'm not sure I'd ever want to use a Kanga in a city.  I've always seen it as being more suited for rolling hills or savannah terrain types.

Sure, they may blow up easily, but looking that good they probably get all the chicks, so I'm sure they die happy.

Really nice work, I like your SLDF scheme, looks like these guys wound up on the wrong end of an LBX also.

Really it's just your basic sponge technique. I typically use silver as the base then come back in and use black dots to give it depth. This time around I used white with the sponge, then went back with a brush and filled in the white with black specks.

That's some nice work on those Kangas.  It may not be canon but I was thinking about painting a pair of them in silver.  It just makes sense that someone would keep them as light as possible and keep 'em waxed to get that last bit of speed.

You don't need fearsome when you look that cool.  Great job.

Dumb question on my end but are the JJ's just tacked on unpainted because you usually use them as the SW no JJ variant?
