I discovered a while back that Kurita Foot and Jump Infantry would make great stand-ins for Cobra Infantry from the classic GI Joe.
Didn't really have a reason to tackle that little project until Hasbro put out a vehicle pack with a HISS Tank among the three vees. (VAMP and the arctic vehicle in the pack, too, but those looked a little big.) While the his might be better suited for N-Scale figures, I felt it was good enough to shoe into the Wargaming scale around the 1/200 markII
I only managed to pick up one pack. Should I get one or more others, I'm tempted to paint up an Action Force Red Shadows group, too.
(Aside: I'm looking at my extensive collection of MODs from Risk 2210, and thinking those could stand in really well for the SNAKE Battle Armor. Around 4 colors to work with, if you include the Action Force Red Shadows one.)
(Aside 2: I have a large collection of Dark Age infantry, and I'm looking at using a lot of the artillery emplacement figures to make up an extensive, 10-man squad of BATs. Probably going to go with the dayglo orange MkII.)
Anyway, any other extensions I try to emulate may be a while. So, enjoy.
