my only thought would be to have APC and Drillson meet in 707 before moving to 807 together instead of each moving to a hex individually.  at the time, there isn't reason to believe that time is that of the essence and linking up with other battle forces would be more important than picking up a single deck crew.  They're also both fast enough that it'd not be that out of the way probably, depending on terrain.

Rog... I'll adjust that last radio call.  The trick is it will take the APC 10 minutes to pack its chute before it moves out.  The Drillson can probably grab the guy in 0807 then arrive in 0707 about the same time as the APC.  As a reminder, each deck crew has 20 man-days of ration packs with them too.

No worries... for the two vehicles it's about 10 minutes either way.  The only one going to be unhappy about it is the one flight deck crew waiting for a ride, but they'll just be happy to HAVE a ride when the time eventually comes.

Ok, now that I have all the initial moves plotted, and I can start doing the timeline...  This may be a while.

All right, here's the timeline for the "golden hour", plus a little bit to cover when planned rendezvous will occur.

1206: All units land.
1207: All units on the radio.
1208: Units either start moving, or packing up/marking their chutes for recovery.
1211: The MASH unit and Exoskeleton (which have "retractable" chutes) complete packing their chutes.
1216: The Flight Deck Crew and Escape Pods manned by Ship Crew or the S6 finish packing their chutes.
1217: The Hunchback rendezvouses with the Exoskeleton.  Escape Pods manned with infantry finish packing their chutes.
1218: The APC and BMRV finish packing their chutes.
1220: The Centurion finishes packing its chute (with one hand), the Stinger rendezvouses with the Hunchback, and the Vulcan confirms the Major is KIA.
1223: The Stinger is dispatched toward Pod 3.
1230: The Javelin rendezvouses with Pod 2.
1232: The Whitworth rendezvouses with Pod 6.
1235: The JaegerMech rendezvouses with Pod 5, the Panther joins the Hunchback.
1240: The BMRV joins the Hunchback (to much rejoicing).  The MASH picks up Flight Deck Crew #2.
1245: The Rifleman joins the JaegerMech, the Blackjack joins the Hunchback, and the Vulcan drops off their tech with Pod 4.
1249: The APC finally joins the MASH.
1251: The Centurion joins the Whitworth at Pod 6.
1255: The Vulcan finds Pod 1, and the pilot dismounts to deliver the news Major Skinner is confirmed KIA.

Estimated Times of Arrival:
1310: Mirage at Pod 6 (joining the Centurion and Whitworth); MASH and APC at Flight Deck Crew #1
1325: MASH and APC at Pod 5.
1335: Stinger at Pod 3.

Standing order is still to move the pod if able (hand) towards rendezvous?  Like the group at pod 6 can probably start moving without waiting on Mirage.  Mirage can catch up.

Rendezvous may need to he shifted to pod 5 due to nothing at 5 able to pick up pod.

It'll take some doing, but the Centurion can carry Pod 6.  The Whitworth can clutch the chutes in its arms.  The squad WILL be throwing up periodically.  1325 is when the two vehicles (MASH and APC) can make Pod 5.

Where do you want the Centurion to take Pod 6?

So I'd say to start moving the RFL and Jager towards the contact.  APC and mash cover pod 5.  HBK group starts moving to pod 5 for recovery before all move to pod 1.  Pod 6 group to pod 1.  Mirage support stinger. Vulcan moves to support javelin.

Thatd be my recommendation.

The HBK group isn't done picking up rations yet... how many do you want to leave on that task?

The Stinger is half way to Pod #3 at 1300.

Flight Deck Crew #1 (and 20 man-days of rations) hasn't been picked up yet, but can be grabbed on the way to Pod #5.

And attached is the 1300 map snapshot.

One other quick note... it will take the Mirage an hour to get to Pod #3 if it sprints (and risks falling in unknown terrain).  Merely running/jumping will take about an hour and a half.

Edit: So I'd say to start moving the RFL and Jager towards pod 1.  APC and mash pick up FDC and then on to cover pod 5.  HBK stays together and continues gathering before moving to pod 5.  Pod 6 group to pod 1.  Mirage support stinger. Vulcan moves to support javelin.

Mirage pilot is 3 or 4 or 5?  3 sprints, 4 sprints only if he can see terrain, 5 runs.  But still should move to support since he's still the fastest on that side.  Stinger can retreat if it runs into contact and can rendezvous with mirage if necessary.

I think the Mirage was a 5 (no specified pilot yet, so let's roll with that).

Also rog on the RFL and Jager, APC & MASH, HBK group, Pod 6 cluster, and Vulcan.  Captain Skinner is going to be PISSED.

I'll start working on the updated timeline.

He was a little busy FLYING THE SHIP when the comm gear left...  ^-^

The pilots will likely improve if/when a player takes them on...  ;)

It'll take an hour and 50 minutes for the Pod #6 group to get to Pod #1 (they're walking, carrying stuff they don't want to break).

Nine personnel are currently working on gathering up the scattered rations, and have been for 20 minutes (since the BMRV arrived).  I figure they'll be done by 1330 or so.

Revised ETAs (I expect these to change):
1310: APC and MASH pick up Flight Deck Crew #1 en route Pod #5
1320: Vulcan arrives Pod #2 (running)
1325: APC and MASH arrive Pod #5
1330: Hunchback group completes gathering rations, starts heading for Pod #5
1335: Stinger arrives Pod #3 (running)
1336: JaegerMech and Rifleman arrive Pod #1 (running)
1400: Mirage to Pod #3
1450: Centurion, Whitworth, and Pod #6 arrive Pod #1 (walking)

Wait, the XO of the unit is the ship's captain?  Why is he 2nd in command?

He's not the unit's XO... he's the former CO's BROTHER, and a Captain.  If someone wants to fight him for command, it'll have to wait until the locals are done with you...  ^-^

The only other Captain in the unit is the Infantry Company CO.  There was talk of promoting the S-3 (Harris) to Captain on Ghorepani, but it hasn't happened yet.

Lieutenant-wise, there are:
S-1 (also the JAG)
The Doc (you)
The two Infantry Lieutenants
S-3 (and Fire Lance Commander, Harris)
The Vulcan pilot (Recon Lance Commander and S-5)
The former Liaison Officer
The ship's Navigator/Co-Pilot

Warrant Officers:
S-2 (Intel)
S-4 (Logistics)
S-6 (Chief Tech)
The ship's Chief Engineer
The ship's Bosun/Gunner

Senior NCOs:
"Top" (infantry Senior Master Sergeant)
"First" (JaegerMech pilot)
"Master Truck" (Senior Driver/Vehicle Crew; commands the BMRV)
"MiniDoc" (Senior Medic, works for you)
"The Bull" (senior enlisted Tech, assigned to First's 'mech)
"Chief" (senior Admin, assistant S-1)
"Senior Chief" (senior enlisted ship crew)

I just added more detailed coordinates in the form of (X,Y).  X is the direction from the center of the hex, Y is the distance in coordinates.  I rolled a d6 for direction, and a d10 for distance (using 10 as 0).  This generated the ~8 km distance between pods 1 and 4 (which both landed in hex 0609).

Ok, I just did the math on where the Vulcan was when the AAR from the first skirmish came in.  The exact timing of the second call for help will depend on the elevation of the landing site of Pod #4.  The lower it is, the less closing time the incoming 'mech and jeeps will need.  If Pod #4 gets hit before the Vulcan arrives, the squad leader will try to raise the Vulcan on a tactical frequency (not HF) to warn them to protect Pod #1 instead.  The adversary will be able to cover the 8 km distance between the pods in about three minutes.

ROMEO ONE will be facing a FLE-16 and two jeeps at MIKE ONE's position.  MIKE FOUR took 50% casualties and wiped out an enemy squad.  The jeep that carried that squad rammed a MIKE FOUR trooper (the one bleeding out with a protruding rib).  The Sergeant and one remaining trooper boarded that jeep in an attempt to kill the driver.  The driver was able to shake them off about half a kilometer away, and they ran back to where the fire fight was to find the Vulcan's tech missing, and the bodies of the three KIA troopers stripped of weapons, armor and rations.  That was the basis of the last radio call.

The math on the Vulcan heading straight back to Pod 1 after MIKE FOUR's call gives it one full minute before the Flea and Jeeps arrive.

Also, the MASH needs to decide if it's going to respond to the call from the unit with the trooper who has a protruding rib, assuming the call was relayed by those who could hear it (the trooper was rammed by a jeep; the wound was gruesome enough even the pirates decided to leave it alone and not try to strip the body armor off... the weapon (lying on the sand right over there) was another matter).  The MASH can make it in the "golden hour" after the injury, but it needs to decide to make the run (or not).

can we get an updated map/locations, who is in movement and to where?

My instinct is to say yet and bring the APC with me since it should be able to keep up, right?  would we be leaving anyone exposed?

The APC is MUCH slower than the MASH.  If the Doc wants to get there in the "golden hour", the APC won't be able to make it, but the MASH can.  It's a serious risk decision, with one life definitely in the balance.  The good news is the Drillson is fast enough (9/14) to stay ahead of the pirates if they try to chase it.

You know what, that's the job and impulsively save people is dumb but right things to do so let's go.

How we looking on space?  Can/do we need to unload some on the APC since they're with the mechs or will be shortly?
