The mini I found to represent the drone is a 1/1200 scale Soviet K-27 Helix Helicopter, available from Noble Minis.

I'm thinking a Fusion engine would be better to allow it unlimited loitering times.

Indeed, a fusion engine would be ideal for unlimited loitering and range. I was, however, trying to maintain a symmetry with the other drones. They are all Tech Level D with either a fuel cell or ICE engine.

I did upgrade the drone carrier tank in another post, and it does have a fusion engine;

I would love to see a fusion VTOL statted up, if you'd like to give it a shot and post it.

I also have the VTOL mini painted now, here are some group shots with the other drones and the carrier.

Kinda amusing...

I did a support vehicle 3 Ton VTOL Drone for the Hi-Scout a few nights ago. Using Support Rules of Course.

VTOL Drone
Tech Level: D
Tonnage: 3000kg
Chassis (Small VTOL Chassis): 300kg
....3000kg x 1(TL D) x 0.20 (Base) x 0.5 (Ultralight)
Movement:
....Cruise: 17
....Flank: 26
....Movement Factor: 293
Engine (Fuel Cell): 1758kg
....3000kg x 1 (TL D Fuel Cell) x 0.002 (Base Engine) x 293 (MF)
Fuel (538km): 142kg
....[142kg fuel / 1758kg Engine] x 100km = 8.077 Percent of Engine
....(8.077 Engine Percentage / 1.5 Fraction = 538.46 (Rounded Down to 538)
Control System (Drone): 800kg
....[3000kg x 0.10] + 500kg
Armor (BAR 0):
....Front: 0
....Sides: 0/0
....Rear: 0
....Rotor: 0

Dude!!! Super Cool! I've always thought we needed more drones for the Hi-Scout.
