Eagles, Giants, and Dolphins last undefeated teams this season.

That was a weird sentence to type.

Usually at this point of the season they'd be lucky to have one win between the three of them.   ???

If the Eagles and Giants lose, do the '72 Dolphins pop the Champaign? Or do the 2022 Fins need to lose too?

The only two undefeated teams that are left are the ones that were in Dan Marino's last Superbowl. I'm glad he was able to get back from the kidnapping and lead that second half comeback.

Hey, we still have two winless teams (though the Texans at least have a tie).

it is fun being a Lions fan again....always finding new and creative ways to clinch defeat from the claws of victory. The coach took the blame for that one, and said it was a bad call on the feild goal attempt.

I worked all day yesterday (but we get double time on Sundays, so I wasn't about to say no), but the highlights of that Lions/Seahawks game were pretty entertaining.  It kind of doesn't even matter that the Lions lost.

The lions game produced a unique Scoragami (yes this is a real thing people keep track of) No previous NFL game had ended 48-45

My longstanding belief is that two years is fair for a coach. Gives him time to get his personnel in place, his system learned, and at that point you can really make a determination as to whether this is going to work or not.

Five games in, and I've seen enough of Nathaniel Hackett to last me the rest of my life. Between the abysmal FG attempt to end the Seattle game to the equally-baffling 4th and 1 PASS PLAY tonight... the coach they had to hire to teach Hackett game management AFTER THE SEASON STARTED... the maddening string of penalties for too-man-men and delay of game... I'm honestly just done with this. Fire this guy, for his sake more than anything, and find someone who knows what they're doing.

It's not all his fault- 'Let Russ Cook' seems like a great idea in a literal sense at this point- but this was a bad coaching hire, and the sooner the experiment is ended, the better everyone involved is going to be.

Were the defenses on both sides playing fairly well, or was each offense just that terrible?  Bit of A, bit of B I suppose.

No it was just the offenses being the wrong kind of offensive.

Regardless of defensive skill, no pair of opposing quarterbacks should ever combine for 0 TD 4 INT

*nod*

I still think Russ has enough left in him to be a top 10 QB in the league but it is pretty clear he is not the QB he used to be.

But yeah it is pretty clear that the media and fans had a short memory about how many other roster issues existed in Denver.

Add in a catastrophically incompetent HC and this is rough.

Seattle is doing exactly what I thought they would too.  Geno is benefiting from the fact he is a more traditional type QB, which makes it easier to mask his shortcomings and make him look like a high tier starting QB when he really isn't.  Defense is still kind of terrible and eventually the bubble will burst.

No it was just the offenses being the wrong kind of offensive.

I'd actually go with the original assessment. The offenses were both absolutely wretched- beyond terrible, really. But the defenses both were pretty solid all night, Denver in particular- they made life hell on Matt Ryan most of the evening, with four sacks and several other hits and hurries. The downside, of course, is that half of the defense appeared to have left the game at one point or another with injuries, so it's a good thing Denver has a week and a half before their next game, which is...

...no. Nooooo. Nonononono. NO. They CANNOT put this shit-show on Monday Night again after the past couple of prime-time games they've put us through. This isn't okay.

I’m pretty sure the NFL doesn’t like Amazon having the TNF rights so they’ve just put the worst games possible on there.

There isn’t a TNF game on in the next month that I’m willing to turn on Amazon Prime for. And I’m a Bears fan.

Seriously do the Lions actively study how to LOSE???

You had the Patriots, had a 3 string QB Zappe..  and the first instance in NFL history that a team averaging 35 points per game in its first four games was shutout in their fifth game of the season

and then the positive story

I get they're trying to protect the passer from injury especially after Tua's extreme concussions, but seriously what is the defense supposed to do with these roughing the passer calls?  The refs aren't leaving much for the sacker to do there.

Might as well put flags on the QB’s hips at this point

Idle question: if we can’t seem to produce at least 32 simultaneously serviceable QBs and the rules have to be continuously changed to protect the dozen that are out there, are we playing football the right way?

Yeah that he did that and also got an arm down to break the fall is amazing athleticism

Also I see we’ve entered the phase of the chiefs trailing experience where every time I check on on the game they have shrunk the deficit and and also somehow already have the ball back at midfield
