Started in on Wednesday.

So far it is better than I thought it would be.  But damn if I'm not afraid it won't get a season 2.

Binging all that we can while we got the Netflix.
Just finished Crown Season 5.

Out of Cobra Kai Season 5, Stranger Things Season 4, and Crown Season 5.
I liked Cobra Kai the most, but the better acting was the Crown.

That’s why I went and saw Violent Night. ‘‘Twas a merry and great Christmas yarn, right up there with the Die Hard movies.

Violent Night actually combines the two.

Just started Willow a couple days ago, just caught the latest episode. I'm really enjoying it, though whoever approved those fade outs....ugh. Completely kills the immersion.

Virus (1980) Extended Version- my son wanted to watch a pandemic movie, so there. Japanese produced, but with an international cast. Kinda holds up well with regards to special effects. Most of the actors are good too, especially Glen Ford as the POTUS and Henry Silva as a loopy Joint Chiefs chairman. Bo Svenson provides some excitement, and I was surprised to see Edward James Olmos in it too. Chuck Connors, however, has a horrible accent trying to play a British submarine captain. Very grim. Rating: 6/10

There was a show with one good season, one okay season, and two seasons where it was obvious that the writers had completely run out of ideas.

Which to you, was the good season, which was the 'ok' season, and which was the 'out of ideas' seasons?

What were you expecting?

Maybe finding out that the virus was no longer active??

Been rewatching King of the Hill recently. Working on season 3 now. It really holds up and its a pretty good americanized take on slice of life and comedy

The later part felt like the writers had begun to run out of plot.

I thought the professor said something to that effect at the end, that the virus seemed to have wiped itself out since it ran out of hosts or something? Anyway, I doubt that a few men and a dozen women would be enough to restart the human race. I read somewhere that a scientist said you'd need at least a thousand humans in order to prevent extinction.

As far as BSG goes, I liked the first three or four episodes but then it became a drag, with Baltar's constant closeups, it was clear the money was low, and so they shot so much of the show with that in mind.

It's theoretically possible to keep a species going from a low of a few dozen people but you're going to quickly run into a very low genetic diversity after a few generations, which leads to all kinds of problems starting with everyone will have a similar susceptibility to diseases so one virulent strain could wipe out the entire population, on top of the inbreeding issues.  One thousand people of high genetic diversity would be a much better starting point.
