At this point, I'm not even sure what the heck I'm doing, but here's an attempt at explaining it:
So I started with the idea of whether you can build a viable military force where each vehicle is capable of being carried in a Battletech-standard 10-ton shipping container. I started out
revamping the standard APCs, at which point we also added the proviso of using the Leenex 60 standard fusion engine as a common engine, too[/url].
From there it snowballed, with
an amphibious light strike fighter added to the mix, followed by a
10-ton VTOL.
Well, I'm back again, this time with a 'Mech or two. I started out simple, just converting the Exo HaulerMech to fusion, using the -3M as a base, converting to commercial armor for more armor coverage, and the 60 fusion engine to go faster:

That, I thought, was good: it barely moved the cost dial, moved 50% faster, and could take a couple more hits, though larger weapons had a better chance of generating a critical than they did before. Best of all, it could use all the same handheld weapons and "tools" developed for the standard Exo line.
But I couldn't leave well enough alone. I had to make it a BattleMech. Not just that, but like the APCs and the VTOL, I had to make it an OmniMech, cramming as much weight-saving equipment into it as possible, though in the end, standard TSM was sacrificed as being unworkable. This meant it'd lose access to the larger pods, but would still be able to use the 1-ton handheld pods of the original Exo series. I ended up with this:
