I would say the Jenner, can mix it up with the Wolverine, and let the other two support at range. And like you said it can flank.

The Valk has to stay at range with IS LRMs being what they are. And the commando is fairly fragile and will fall behind quickly in rough terrain, and it doesn’t have any range to back that up, even in what passes for range in the SW era
Hi - thanks for the feedback. Those were 3 spare mechs I had to hand. But given ut will probably be a few more weeks before I can resume painting them, I could probably another Lance Pack or two.

If I widened the choice to any other Inner Speher 3025 mechs that were in Wave Two, ar there any other mechs you would recommend to go with the classic 55 ton trio??

Thanks

Vehicles work well, as do death by a thousand cuts. So a couple of Scorpions can put a serious challenge to medium mechs of equivalent cost.

35 point sis the average cost for an AS mech. Work around from there. Fast units (TMM3+) are good, as are very slow but cheap units with armor, either in the form of massive slabs of steel, or strength in numbers. Avoid any mech with TMM2 or less that does not have at least 8 points of armor + internals unless you want to do something really interesting that I have not come to realize yet. For vehicles it is fine if you go for strength in numbers. 3-6 scorpions or warrior vtols are likely to be a good plinker force in your side.

I would not go overboard with skill increases. A few 3s are Ok. G>oing overboard with it is only useful if you are playing the long range game with long range powerhouses. If not, most compbat will happet at medium range against TMM2 or less, so do not overinvest, as your ride does not improve its defence, as you know.

Or do as I tend to do, and just grab the minis that are looking at you with puppy eyes because they want to hit the table and be done with it.

And have fun!

True, I was actually trying to remember if the Raging Horde (established 3060s) had bloodnamed or if we had any in Op Bulldog participating mercs.  I know Snords got a lot of Falcons, but I do not recall if any were Bloodnamed.

The Horde's founder was Bloodnamed: ex-Nova Cat Calvin Moon.

vehicles are generally better in AS than in BT, since they are more survivable and use pretty much the same rules aside from motive systems.

Yeah, it's easier to do Motive Damage Rolls in Alpha Strike than in BT, but it's usually easier to succeed in damaging Motive under Total Warfare rules.

Which one, I don't remember that?

Anastasia Kerensky
Dragan Fletcher
and Clanners in the Republic were Bloodnamed trueborns

Not to mention Original Recipe Natasha herself.
