issue is majority compare this to 1984 dune(btw the fan edit does a great job) followed by tv adaptation of dune and dune children.
as i see it visually it draws you in a lot of charachters are turning out to be more shallow and few character changes just dont mesh well with the story
but not glaringly so...
and the design of ornithopters were outstanding... and actually seeing paracompas and sand compactor were just bonus
all on all this one is standning on its own

Figured it possible to keep Stealth and VSPLs while removing the XXL engine. Composite structure stays though. Threw TSM there after i removed the supercharger, and it only costs 100 BV. Triggering the TSM optimally may not be the easiest task but in this case, it is cheap enough it ain't a big deal.

Weird take on the Exterminator, but I think it could work...
Interesting. I'll note that Null-Sig and CLPS aren't BMM-equipment though, which is mostly a requirement in this challenge.
However, this is very doable with Stealth Armor, though at least i found it necessary to sacrifice a heat sink. Then again, there's ever so slightly less heat generated.

But 4x LPPCs is kinda pitiful firepower for a 65-ton heavy 'Mech. Works as a skirmisher though.
I'll grant that my 4xMPL Exterminator earlier doesn't have much more firepower, but it makes for a better brawler due to lack of minimums and extra accuracy.
Have to say that despite the heat and fragility issues the official 7X has, i do appreciate the MVPSLs giving it good punch up close.

Watching it now but we stopped the streaming because the pizza finally arrived.

I read the book at 12, so I am a fan.

My first impression: why is it filmed so dark? Heck even Arrakis is filmed too dark!

Why do these 6/9 40-tonners always start out with AC/5s instead Large Lasers?
It frankly boggles my mind.
Cheaper, easier to maintain, more common, less heat generation (matters for introductory level) especially when combined with secondary weapons (and jump jets if applicable), and finally autocannons have this coolness factor large lasers may not have (brrrt).

Also suspect whoever played/tested the game at FASA and whoever wrote stuff didn't interact, and that the latter called the shots.

Part of that is the fact he's playing with the Lions.  I'm not sure even Tom Brady could do well there with their dysfunction.
I wouldnt be too sure... Tampa Bay was going nowhere until he came along. It seems everything Brady touches turns to gold.

The new Eris 3R has 20 rocket launcher 10s and a couple of medium lasers, so it can put out 210 damage. This does force a shutdown for a couple of turns but glory has its price...

Granted, the average damage in this case is closer to 120-130 or so.
