(Answered) Searchlights and consciousness
« on: 29 May 2021, 14:59:53 »
Can an unconscious pilot designate a target for their searchlight? I can't find a specific rule that forbids it. Does it continue to target the last hex targeted? Does it target no hex, and only illuminate the equipped 'mech? Does it turn itself off or otherwise become nonfunctional? Is there a possible other effect I've failed to account for?

An unconscious pilot can't do anything: they're unconscious.

Leave the spotlight illuminating the last position it was directed at.

And if the unit falls with the searchlight still on, it would continue to operate, pointing in a direction based on the fall.
