TO:AR, 4th printing, p. 50, sections Torrents and Water Flow:

Torrents:
Quote
Additionally, all Naval Vehicles on the surface of the water, in order not to be moved by water flow, must spend 3 MP at the end of their movement in order to “hold position” in the hex where they ended their movement.

Water Flow:
Quote
Additionally, all Naval Vehicles on the surface of the water, in order not to be moved by water flow, must spend 1 MP at the end of their movement in order to “hold position” in the hex where they ended their movement.

TO:AUE, 4th printing, p. 114f., section COMBAT VEHICLE CHASSIS MODIFICATIONS, subsections FLOTATION HULL, LIMITED AMPHIBIOUS, FULLY AMPHIBIOUS:
All three subsections state
Quote
While on water, the [unit] vehicle is treated as a displacement hull naval vessel for purposes of line of sight, hull breaching and sinking rules.
(no mention of water flow/torrents or movement)

(All emphasis mine)

Questions:
- Should submerged Combat and Support Vehicles be treated the same as naval vehicles on the surface, or are they incapable of holding position, or are they immune from displacement by water flow/torrents?

- Should flotation hulled or amphibious chassis modified CVs and CFs and amphibious SVs on the surface be treated the same as naval vehicles on the surface, or are they incapable of holding position, or are they immune from displacement by water flow/torrents?

I haven't found any rules in TW, TM, TO, SO, AToW, IO, and CO, but: - is it possible to keep a unit in place in flowing water by mooring it to bollards or emplyoing anchors?

Edit: Since my topic hasn't entered [Research] status yet, I'll add some additional related questions instead of opening a new thread.

According to TO:AUE p. 114, flotation hulled units can take off from the water. At least CFs need to move along the water to take off.
Questions:
- Can units with flotation hulls taxi on the water?
- If yes, how many MPs do they have, and how many do they have to spend to move 1 water hex?
- If no, how do CFs perform their takeoff run?

According to TO:AUE p. 115, each water hex costs fully amphibious vehicles 2 MPs to cross.
Question:
- If amphibious vehicles are subject to movement by flows and torrents (see second question, above), does such a vehicle also have to spend twice as many MPs as a naval unit to offset water flows and currents?
