I'm trying to figure out the rules for mounting extra ammunition on direct-fire weapons. The relevant TM text:
Any additional ammunition (including charge packs for energy weapons) may thus be added to the weapon’s weight without taking up additional weapon slots on the battle armor’s design. The weight for these extra magazines is also listed on the Battle Armor Weapons and Equipment Table (to the right of the slash following the magazine shot and burst counts).
I'm having a few problems with this.
First, there are no slashes or burst counts on the Battle Armor weapons and equipment table (although there are slashes in the conventional infantry weapons table, it's
before not after the magazine shot and burst counts). The table, applying the errata, only lists Weight per Shot (Ammo).
By "ammo" I'm assuming it means shots per clip like the other tables?
Does this mean you have to buy ammunition in full clips? If so, why list the per-shot weight at all? Why not use "Weight per clip (Shots per clip)" as the table headings? (If not, then I can see the point of listing it the way it is.)
I'm assuming that weapons listed on the conventional infantry table work similarly when used with an AP Weapons Mount or an Armored Glove, even though the passage itself only references the Battle Armor Weapons and Equipment Table. Is this correct?
