In the books, which are canon, it openly states that the WOB took 200,000 people from one planet when they escaped. They still have 2 hidden worlds inside the Inner Sphere, as of 3150, and an unknown number of worlds outside. And that 200k, is just population reduction... there are hints that they replaced a lot of people, as in took those people as well, and left WOB members with their identities.... as they controlled the records, it wouldn't be hard.

We also know that many of the WOB militias were rolled into the Republic of the Sphere Armed Forces.... how many of those kept their beliefs hidden, paid lip service, and then taught their kids their private, at home beliefs...... in preparation for the return. How many of those kids went on to use the Republic education system to get engineering jobs, etc?
The hardest things to overcome are belief and ideology .... and the WOB used those effectively. We probably have small towns all over the Inner Sphere, where we have good little taxpaying citizens going about by day.... and enclaves of Blakists, at night.

So, we know they took more people capable of building new colonies, than they had at the Exodus, and better resources for operations, than the Fidelis had, and both of those factions came back..... so it stands to reason, if we accept that, then we know the WOB is still out there, and WILL be coming back, at some point.....

But most of those were Protectorate Militia units right? Those were pretty much souped up planetary militias. Most of those people were not hard core Blakists. They just wanted to defend their planets.

The common troopers, maybe.... the officers were probably much more dedicated .....
Even today, we have people that follow certain ideologies, and they have found villages in Europe where the locals are descendants of ideologies, and still have tanks and field guns hidden in basements......
We know they took hundreds of thousands of people, and replaced huge numbers of others..... they have more than enough bodies to not only start elsewhere.... but with the ones they left behind, and with the fact that Comstar was taking in, and hiding WOB members well into the Dark Ages, and the revelation of a new Comguard... that MANY survived......

Nothing is so hard to kill, as an idea..... ideology never fully goes away.... and many Blakists were True Believers in their ideology.

I thought Goliath Scorpion captured a bunch in the initial imperio invasion and used them for a bit?  Though by 3145, all the former WoB stuff is probably out of their tourman, returning them to extinct status.

personally, I've never been impressed by any of the MD designs, so them being extinct really doesn't break my heart any...
"Inside the Army, we squabble about which part of the Army gets the most stuff.  After a while, some really important general comes down and tells us to knock it off and 'cooperate.' If we don’t, the bad people will whack us and even the Air Force won’t be able to bail us out. This is called 'combined arms.' "  FM 3-0 Operations (Simple Version: "Doctrine for Dummies")

Look at the hidden ComGuard cells on Terra after the WoB took over.  Repair bays and all- we saw it in "Back Roads at Night".  And we know ROM wasn't going to ever stop trying to purify Terra and remove their "misguided" brothers.
There are no fish in my pond.
