(Answered) Heat and water
« on: 26 July 2011, 00:37:09 »
As I understand it, according to Total Warfare p.158-9 a 'Mech standing in Depth 2 water "is completely submerged, so all of its heat sinks
are considered underwater. Regardless of how many heat sinks are underwater, however, the 'Mech can shed no more than an additional 6 points of heat per turn."  Does this only apply to heat sinks that are specifically listed on the Record Sheet, or all of the 'Mech's heat sinks?  Case in point:  The Hatamoto-Kaeru has 10 DHS, and though we don't have a Record Sheet we know that all of its heat sinks are contained within the engine because the rating of 320 is high enough to hold them all in there.  Would the Hatamoto-Kaeru still get the "additional six points of heat per turn" dissipation bonus if it were completely submerged, or not, since it doesn't have any heat sinks outside of the engine?

Tod und Verzweiflung flammet um mich her!
Fühlt nicht durch dich Jadefalke Todesschmerzen,
So bist du meine Tochter nimmermehr!
