(Answered) Determining if C3 is in use
« on: 08 August 2019, 10:14:53 »
As per TW, pg 275, use of C3, and presumably NOVA CEWS in C3 mode, is a violation Zellbrigen.

Is the use of C3 to share targeting data detectable in game?

I'm rarely right... Except when I am.  ---  Idle question.  What is the BV2 of dread?
Apollo's Law- if it needs Clan tech to make it useable, It doesn't deserve those resources in the first place.
Sure it isn't the most practical 'mech ever designed, but it's a hundred ton axe-murderer. If loving that is wrong I don't wanna be right.

Yes, the presence and layout of C3 nets is always public knowledge in Total Warfare games.

I think I phrased the question poorly.  I was asking if I would know if my opponent used their C3 during a particular attack, eg. in a Clan v Manei Domini game, use of C3i would violate Zel.  In that particular game, my opponent elected not take advantage of his C3i, thus forcing me to stick to dueling rules.

Would I be able to tell, in game, if the Vanquisher plinking at me from a hill, 20 hexes is being "honorable" or is he using data from the dippy little Malak that's right next to me?
