pp 81.

"A ’Mech making a forced withdrawal must always move toward its home map edge."

I always thought this was clear — if a unit ends their move closer to the home edge than they were at the start of the turn they have 'moved towards the home edge'. e.g. if they start the turn at 15 hexes from the edge and end at 14 hexes from the edge, that qualifies.

Q: Is this correct?

I'm watching a discussion on Facebook though where people are adding caveats like 'best speed' and 'tactical advantage' in order to try and better explain the requirement.   

So I'm posting for an official ruling I can just link to.
