Sorry, got another head scratcher.....really trying to get these handled as I am running an Aerospace heavy scenario in two weeks.
In the rules for Aerospace on Changing Altitude, it states that a Fighter that descends 2 altitudes gains 1 velocity.
The rules further state on page 245 that a unit that performs a Dive Bombing attack descends 2 altitudes in the process of the attack.
Now, the rules for Changing Velocity on page 76 states changes to velocity can only occur at the beginning or end of a unit's turn, and that a unit that changes velocity at the end of it's turn cannot do so again at the start of the following turn.
Therefore, when and how does the changes to velocity from dive bombing/descending 2 altitudes take place? Is the end turn velocity adjusted "for free"? Is the velocity adjusted on the fly mid maneuver (start turn at velocity 2, fly x hexes at velocity 2, descend 2 altitudes, change velocity to now 3, finish move accounting for new velocity?
