(Answered) Jumping with a Hip and old Leg Actuator crits
« on: 25 December 2020, 15:54:16 »
A mech takes a lower leg actuator crit in weapons phase, then a hip hit in physical phase; Next turn it jumps. Must the player...

A: Make two piloting skill rolls at +2. (The hip negates modifiers from old actuator crits, not requirements for rolling a PSR.)
or
B: Make one piloting skill rolls at +2. (The hip negates all effects of old actuator crits.)

Relevant passage:

BMM 2017:
p 48, Hip (Leg) "After a hip critical hit, ignore any other critical hit modifiers from previous turns on that leg"

p 49, Lower Leg Actuator (Leg) "Additionally, a PSR is required every time the ’Mech jumps; the roll is made at the end of the ’Mech’s movement."
