The News sub-forum was unused so it was removed. As you stated, the threads Cubby creates for new releases are seeing much higher traffic and allow interaction so we've transitioned to them.

Nope, it's all good. We aren't Facebook or anything

I take it then that it wasn't enough to simply lock the threads? The BattleCorps news section was occasionally useful as an archive of sorts.

The board has not been deleted, just removed from view.  I suggest asking the admins.
