Post Count Problem?
« on: 19 August 2022, 10:08:09 »
My personal count is only off by one, but it looks like Weirdo and as of yesterday Knightmare have counts off by thousands (hundreds of thousands in the latter case).  This isn't a reflection of a deeper database issue is it?  :-\

total post counts include areas not all users have access to. you won't be able to see posts in the moderation or other administrative zones and are not included in the post summary if you don't have permissions

I understand that, but 390K+ posts appearing in one day seems a little odd, to say the least.

It would appear you are paying attention. Good, you've passed.  ;)

For the record, there's no issue here, I was testing something and forgot to change the post count. Post counts are actually pretty arbitrary data as opposed to post assignment. I know people are really proud of their counts, so everyone better behave or I'll make'em disappear like a Goliath Scorpion in a Devil's Bath.  >:D

Look, dude, when you are a real mechwarrior you don't need to get all dressed up in cooling suits and cool helmets to work on your mech. You just strip down to your 1980s panties and crop top vest and start wrenchin' it.

Thank you for the confirmation on there being no problem!

Database issues are BAD if they're not caught right away.

So you could change mine to say... 1 million?
