WSP-1 Wasp (Primitive)
« on: 06 November 2013, 03:33:06 »
So, I just got in my order from Iron Wind Metals, with a couple of ships (separate post), and this, a WSP-1 Wasp from XTRO Primitives, Volume 2.  I couldn't help but want to see how it would look in vaguely Macross colors.  One change I made was to reinforce the antennas with pins, then paint the whole assembly black, to give them a more solid feel

Very cool.  I can see it standing on the SDF-1 fending off Zentradi Battle Pods.  :D

That is really cool man! Now I want one. I wonder if they have made the primitive stinger yet

Not yet, no.  But it makes me wonder, though because FM3145 mentions rumors of New St. Andrews producing primitive Wasps and Stingers.  So, one may be coming - masterunitlist.info doesn't have an entry yet, but does for what appears to be the primitive Archer and Rifleman.  Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing the Stinger IIC as a mini.

at the Primative tech level, i'm not sure there would be much difference between them, unless the primative Stinger either didn't jump, or had a slower speed, or something like that.

Tech-wise, probably not.  I'd wager the Stinger had both hands, though.

They may be called primitives but they sure look more advanced and asthetically pleasing than the moderns, especially the wasp and T-bolt

Yup. I much prefer the primitive Wasp, Thunderbolt and Shadow Hawk to the Phoenix versions.

Four. Torso and legs plus base are one piece, each arm is another, and the head with antennas are the fourth.

Giovanni, would there be a chance for a better (sharper) photo? I like what I see but would really like to see the paint scheme better...
