3D printed Resin Buildings
« on: 21 October 2015, 11:36:52 »
Just finished painting some resin buildings I bought from Wackrabbit. They are based on 2" hexes and turned out pretty neat, can't wait to use them in an upcoming scenario.

They look pretty good.  My biggest hold up right now is that 3D stuff is still way too damn pricey compared to MDF, resin etc.

on a Bolt Action group, one guy is 3d printing tanks (1/56 scale) for only 3-4 bucks a pop, Btech buildings would probably be in the 2-3 dollar range depending on hexes covered and such

Will have to reach out to wackrabbit about that.  He had a nice capitol gun at Pax West this past year.

How do these look next to the Burned In buildings?

I really like that hull-down position.

Normally I can't stand the ridges you get from a printer that uses filament, but it gives a really nice texture for the concrete here.

I second ph423r here. Great texture. To the extent I would consider replacing painting hazard anx marking stripes with decals or prints.

Keep them coming.

No answers for months in this forum on simple questions ... sorry if I sound a bit sour :/ but this seems to be a main forum ... a simple no would be ok. Could you give measurements of the models if there are no 3d files available?
