Didn't know there was a new paint guide. Thanks for the heads up.

It probably also focuses ownership and management minds a bit more if they can't take local interest and revenues for granted. *cough* Toronto

Related, in the NFL, Lions fans kind of did the same thing.  Just stop going to games, stop buying the goods.

So that's understandable too.

Heavy Lasers do take a range penalty underwater and even if they didn't they're so short ranged in the air the ER Clan Lasers would still outrange them underwater.

Your fluff has them developed using Clan fabrication equipment, but are these intended to be Clantech for all intents and purposes or are they more like X-Pulse Lasers being inspired by Clan Pulse Lasers?

Balance wise unless HarJel is in play Clan LRTs>IS LRTs>Everything else when it comes to underwater combat. Breach checks destroying a location 1/6th of the time means that range and multiple Clusters are the best way to go. So you need to decide where you want these to sit on that list before you start assigning stats. Worse than IS LRTs, but better than any other weapon underwater and with unlimited ammo and some use above the surface? Better than IS LRTs, but not as good as Clan LRTs? Outright the best weapons underwater?

Or given that this is post Jihad are you wanting these to be used in an environment where HarJel has proliferated?

A dead simple way to do this would be to take that stats of the ER laser of the appropriate tech base and switch the range brackets for above and below water. That way you know that the Polarized Laser will have basically the same balance relationship with LRTs and SRTs that the ER lasers have with LRMs and SRMs. But that only works with Harjel in place to stop breach checks massively skewing things.

Might as well JUMP!  ::que the music::

Serious.  From an outside perspective, Vancouver is a damn roller coaster.  So when people like you or Chanman step out for air and take a few years to return to the party, it's understandable.

But with that in mind, the system doesn't work without the bandwagon to encourage fans to come back and root for them. So jump jump jump!

It probably also focuses ownership and management minds a bit more if they can't take local interest and revenues for granted. *cough* Toronto

I can't wait to get the pack with the  Hatamoto-Chi!

That reminds me that I have to get back to work on finishing one of the old
Somerset University Mech Maintanence Facilities.
To my knowledge prior to the coming Somerset Strikers Forcepack the only
officially licensed items from the TV show that were made to be used in game
were the Geo-Hex series of Battletech Structures.
A lance sized mechbay , HPG building, power station, and barracks were made in mech scale.
I've got them mostly done.
I really wanted to make a building to look like the university building as well for the 40th
anniversary but life keeps changing my plans.

I remember you doing a short version of this some time back. Glad to see you revisiting it for expansion.

it is also worth noting that the chinese are probably going to be fairly confident the flight deck works at least in terms of layout and materials, since they mocked it up inland and did a lot of operational testing of the mockup to refine things. they did the same with Liaoning and Shandong (something that mystified some people when they were doing it, because "why are they flying J-15's off the top of a building?") such facilities also double as training centers for the deck crews later.

as far as the sea trials go.. the USnavy has an extensive set of trials they put new carriers through before an aircraft ever touches its deck. speed tests, steering tests, maneuverability tests, shock tests using depth charges, not to mention the testing of the various individual systems inside the ship. and if they find anything wrong, they go back to dock, do (sometimes extensive) repair work, and go out and do it all again until it has a clean bill of health. only then do they take on part of the airwing and start testing aircraft operations.
