Also, the handheld weapons pods for the Kuma 3 will be in the update.

Right, Joel? 8)

Absolutely! That is the plan.

- Of course until we actually publish, the plan is subject to change without notice.

I believe Ballistic and Missile weapons do not require heat sinks and ammo can be done by the shot, per the errata page.

They do not require heat sinks, but you still have to follow the standard rules for ammo mass (i.e., 1 ton for most weapons, 0.5 tons for machine guns) unless using the optional Fractional Accounting rules.

Then is the Errata out of date?

As the Errata says this (V. 2.1 June 2010)
Energy weapons placed in a Handheld mount require a number of heat sinks equal to the maximum heat generated by the mounted weapon(s). Only standard (single) heat sinks may be mounted in a Handheld Weapon. Ballistic and Missile weapons do not require heat sinks but must mount ammunition if they are not one-shot weapons (such as Rocket Launchers). Ammo can be added to such weapons on a per-shot basis, with each shot's weight (in tons) determined by dividing 1 by the number of shots the weapon normally carries per ton.

Edit:
Emphasis is mine

If game devs (me) can forget rules he wrote, the errata coordinator can forget errata he posted. In his defense, he didn't write that errata, that was me I think.

Hello,

Missing Record Sheets: The DropShips and WiGEs will be included in a free update to RS3085U. At the time of release, we were still encountering issues with the automated software for these designs. We chose to release the product now, and update when we have sorted out those issues.

OSP-15 Art: This was a concept art piece done by one of our artists. It has never been published, until now.

Best,
Joel BC

Thanks for for the info on the OSP-15 art, that's pretty neat.

And when that happens, 3085 Unabridged will leave the ranks of abridged Unabridged products like 3075 and Klondike, and become truly Unabridged! And it will be glorious!
(Yes, I still plan to get it before then. ;))

Are any other sheets missing? Did we really get all the sheets for all those infantry, support vees, industrialmechs, and the lone WarShip?

Hell if I can remember. I think we'd meant to specify that was possible if using Fractional Accounting rules, since otherwise each of those "smaller than full" ammo bins will round up to 1 ton.

I beheld the glory of RS:3085 and it was, um, glorious.

I am going to terrorize my friends now.  Okay, I already terrorize my friends, but now I've got more ways to do so.

Questions, though.  1) What's with the Light Fusion engine on the Pack Hunter II 2?  2) Why is the Goshawk II 3 listed as an Experimental mech?  I don't see any Experimental equipment on it.

So glad to finally have these record sheets. I've been waiting to run the Karhu B and the Flamberge variants for a while now. And the Flamberge 3 is just beautifully disgustingly awesome.

No clue but thats the only thing that "isnt right" on the RS or stats.  Perhaps a typo or its some experimental tech.

It's to bad that  the heavy metal pro programs haven't been updated to include the new weapons and equipment.  I'm becoming weapon envy because I don't have use of the hag weapons. Does anyone know when the owners of heavy metal pro will finally update that software to include the new equipment for use with total war? Getting tired of waiting for the past 3 to 4 years.

Well there have been several reasons why HMPRO hasnt been updated to BV2 but I will not go into them here.

My best advice would be to grab Solaris Skunkwerks and use that.

Or if you want to use the HAGs you could just look at the book, record the stats, and enter them into HMP as a custom weapon.  HMP is cool that way.  It is how I enter in some of these new designs.  :)

I also recommend a daily dose of patience as java slows down your machine and any program that requires it until the end of time due to horrible memory management.

On the plus side, java seems to have fewer outright ERRORS and crashes than the dot net framework, but that's like saying the Targe isn't as bad as the heavy weapons variant of the Shadow Hawk.

It's an armored Cockpit. The O in front is the circle to strike the armor point before you damage the actual equipment. See page 282/283 in TacOps

I am quite pleased. It was no surprise that there were some sheets missing and what I got I enjoyed.

I like it how the old base designs are included as well (like the Augustus in this book and the WSP-1 in the phoenix book)- makes me want to play a primitives only campaign.

There's this big, nasty Clan 'Mech that moves 4/6/7 and one of those has a pretty big gun...
I wish I could be your friend.  Or at least paint your minis.

Then is the Errata out of date?

As the Errata says this (V. 2.1 June 2010)
Energy weapons placed in a Handheld mount require a number of heat sinks equal to the maximum heat generated by the mounted weapon(s). Edit:

The prospect of the Ghost Bears combining ER Micro Lasers with Single Heat Sinks in a handheld weapon is blowing my mind.  Given the impression I have of most CGB players, I wouldn't expect many of them to try that Kuma.
