Mmmm, to stretch the analogy, more like the Germans built houses out of the ruins of the Russian ones and chilled there for a while, lobbing the occasional artillery shell over the border.

Also Guardsman, what happened to the Philip Drummond avatar? That was a) awesome and b) sinister.

Awe, thanks. I'm still not happy with the way the colourisation came out. But I'm not too good at adding colour to a greyscale image. Ones I can strip down to lines are easy, but recolouring something with lots of gradients is hard. Not even sure if I'm using that term correctly.

Nothing wrong with that.  At least he saw the extent of Amaris's evil and became the longest-lived Khan.

Amaris was evil. The Republic was not. :)

I suspect constantly getting mistaken for a Nova Cat supporter didnt help either. :D

On the other hand, hey...it's an Ultra Magnus inspired Battlemaster. What's not to like?

As long as the Lyrans don't send a unit of purple and grey 'Mechs after me, I'll be happy.

Well that’s all right then. Tell that Wyvatron that BattleMagnus is off limits.

It's on Sarna under the listing for the Wyvern IIC. I assume that came from one of the manuels.

I'd be interested to see their source.

Indeed, just looked it up.  The Wyvern IIC seems to have been the backbone of Burrock garrison forces (they assigned a star of them to every new settlement in the Kerensky cluster).

Probably as close to a signature mech as they had, They favored medium and light mechs, so it would fit their thinking.

For their 2nd Line anyway, I'd be quite surprised if their front line forces used it in such a starring role.

They might have before the omnis came out. Similar to mechs like the corvis, conjurer, or great wyrm.

That's good to know.  Been awhile since I read through that one, and I appreciate the reference.

And not that I didn't initially believe you, but back on the old boards, there were a lot of unverified Burrock-related posts that had to be dismissed as fanon.  Considering the amount of data actually published regarding the Burrocks (which consequently makes it easy for someone to make something up), my knee-jerk reaction to anything Burrock-related nowadays (at least for things I don't know offhand) is to ask for a reference.
